My college roommates and I tried this one, only cooking it at 350 didn't seem to cut it... We evenutally baked at 450 and it was DELICIOUS! A definite repeater-- and WONDERFUL for a lazy Saturday dinner!

I enjoyed this receipe. Very easy to put together. I found baking it at a higher heat (450) cooked it in an hour. I don't know how done it would be at 350 for 45 minutes. Anyway, it was tasty. I love this sight.

Fantastic stew!! Definately cook @ 450 for 1 hour. Also, if cooking for more than two I would suggest doubling the recipes ingredients. Enjoy!

This recipe is great! I even modified it when in a hurry. It can easily be made with two bags of frozen stew vegetables and canned mushrooms. When doing this, I put in an extra can of mushroom soup. I cut the onion soup mix in half, otherwise its too salty.

I thought this could be gone in a slow cooker and be very good. Start it in the morning before work and enjoy the aroma when you get home from work.

I made this last week and I wasn't impressed with it. But after reading the comments, I think I'll try it again.

Wow! This sounds fantastic, and easy. After reading everyones comments and suggestions, I'm going to make this tonight for my nonvegetarian girlfriend. Let ya know how it turns out. Btw, I have Lipton dry onion mix and beef is nowhere to be found.

I tried this last night. What a hit! I never go to the store to buy one ingredient (trying to be economical) so I substituted reduced fat cream of celery soup and a jar of mushrooms for the fresh ones. Delicious! Wasnt sure how much water to sprinkle, and once it was done (cooking at 450 for one hour), there wasn't much juice left.... so I think next time I will add a little more water, rather than reduce cooking time. All told, this was amazingly good. Thank you.

My husband and I found out the hard way that 350 degrees doesn't cut it! Also, we only used half of an onion, which was still too much. We might try this recipe again after reading these comments.
