Spaghetti with Peanut Butter Sauce

Ingredients (use vegan versions):

    1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
    1/3 cup hot water
1 tablespoon Braggs Liquid Aminos or soy sauce
1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
1/3 non-dairy creamer or extra rich soy milk
    1 teaspoon sesame oil
3/4 pound spaghetti, cooked and drained
    fresh coriander for garnish

Directions:

Combine peanut butter and water.  Stir until smooth.  Add soy sauce, garlic, non-dairy creamer or soy milk and sesame oil.  Stir until smooth.  Set aside.

Cook pasta, drain well.  Stir peanut butter sauce and add to spaghetti.  Stir. Garnish with fresh coriander.

Serves: 6

Preparation time: 20 min

Wow!!!  I made this last night...added some red pepper flakes to the sauce and some scallions (thinkly sliced) to the pasta before adding the sauce.  It was sooo good!  My daughter ran by her fathers plate which had been set aside. By the time he came home... there was only a tablespoon left!  Excellent dish!  Will use it for company with some with vegan egg rolls.

i don't know about this one. peanut butter sauce? i guess it depends on what you like, but spaghetti and peanut butter just don't mix.

about spaghetti and peanut butter just don't mix--i know it sounds strange, but free your mind and im sure you'll enjoy it.  that's what happened to me.  try foods unique to different cultures and it will widen your palatable-horizons.

Meaghan... some of the best dishes sound strange. Ony of my favourite sandwiches is peanut butter & onion. Do not bother assuming that something will be bad. Chances are, if it sounds strange or bad, try it, because it will be good.

this was really great! especially considering most of the ingredients are ones you would typically have in the house, those are my favorite. cheap, quick, easy, and really tasty. thanks!

Its very common for Asian dishes to use peanut sauces on their noodles (pasta, of which one kind is spaghetti)and vegetables.  So apparently peanut butter and spaghetti do go together.  This is very similar to the Peanut Spirals recipe I make from Vegetarian Express.   Its very good indeed! And regarding PB and Onion Sandwich...I like a PB and Veganaisse sandwich!!  Yum!

i tryed this, but instead of using soy sauce and garlic, i used a seasoning packet from vegan oriental ramen. then i used the ramen noodles instead of spaghetti. mighty tasty for a improvised college student meal.
