2-ingredient Ranch Dip!Ingredients (use vegan versions): 1 block of soft mori-nu UHT Tofu
1 packet of dry vegan ranch dip mix
3 tablespoon soy milk (to make it runny if you are a drizzler) (optional)
Directions:Just whirl the ingredients together in a blender until smooth and creamy. If you're a dipper, leave the soymilk out, if you're a drizzler, add it to make it easier to use. Tastes like the real thing, because it IS the real thing

Preparation time: 5 mins
That is three ingredients.

Two things: 1. equilibriax- there's no call for that. if you're going to be fastidious you might want to read more carefully- the last ingredient is optional. 2. asuttona (or anyone who can help)- I'm having trouble finding a vegan ranch mix... could you suggest a brand? Thanks! (

Hidden Valley Ranch makes a dry dip mix that's vegan. Make sure you read the labels. There are 4 or 5 different dry HVR mixes, and not all are vegan.

I tried this recipe and i wasn't too happy with it. I think the tofu makes it taste kind of bitter. Play around with it, maybe this won't happen for you.

Every Hidden Valley ranch dry dip mix that I have ever seen has either whey or buttermilk solids - and I have looked at many of them. Where are you finding the total vegan ones?

I'm pretty sure that Hidden Valleys Fat Free Ranch Dip packet is vegan.

Vegan1 and others: just fyi, I contacted HVR by email and asked them about their dips and dressing mixes. They stated they do not make a totally vegan ranch dressing mix. All the mixes have buttermilk solids or whey - which are both dairy ingredients.

swseven7: Heres the comment I got from HVR: Thank you for contacting us about HV Dips Mix. We always appreciate hearing from our consumers. The Hidden Valley Dip Mix does not contain animal bi-products. We certainly hope you will continue to use and have confidence in our products. Again, thank you for contacting us. Sincerely, Jessica Payton Consumer Response Representative Consumer Services So I'm not really sure what to think given your feedback from them.

maybe find all of the seasonings and such that make up ranch flavor minus the dairy, and experiment with ratios to mimick the store bought blend?

oooh, another thought on the HVR controversy, maybe one rep said that there are no TRULY vegan mixes (but still have dairyless ingreds.) because its made on shared equiptment, and they always expect a miniscule amount of dairy to get in, not enough to list as an ingrediant, but enought to maybe cause allergic reacton, or to be considered a product that may possibly (but no way to know for sure) contain dairy.

I wanted everyone to know HVR (Hidden Valley Ranch) original recipe is NOT vegan anymore!! This used to be a vegan product untill they added whey about 6 months ago. I tryed a number of times to contact by email asking about the change. The only email I recieved was in responce to my first email, a generic email stating that my comments were sent to the marketing department. All of my emails after that went un answered. Its too bad, it WAS the best ranch!

In light of the non-vegan status of the Hidden Valley Ranch mix, I found that my grocerys generic version doesn't have buttermilk or whey or any other dairy. (I'm in Arizona shop at Frys / Kroger). It does have MSG which I'm not a fan of. But as an occasional item its ok. Anyway, it turned out very good!

I think that the Fat Free Hidden Valley Ranch Dip mix is Vegan. . . the only questionable ingrediant is calcium stearate. . . let me know if that's no good
