Praline Pecan CrunchIngredients (use vegan versions): one 16 ounce box Quaker Oat Squares
2 cups pecan pieces
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup margarine (1/2 stick)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Directions:Heat oven to 250 degrees Combine cereal and pecans in 13 x 9 pan; set aside. Combine corn syrup, brown vegan sugar and margarine in 2-cup microwaveable bowl. Microwave at HIGH 1 1/2 minutes; stir. Microwave at HIGH 1/2 to 1 1/2 minutes more or until boiling. Stir in vanilla and baking soda and pour over cereal mixture; stir to coat evenly. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes. Spread on baking sheet to cool; break into pieces.
Serves: 10 cups.
Preparation time: 10 mins.
This stuff is GREAT!!!!! It is so easy to make and everyone loved it...i made it for a church potluck. If you need a quick sweet snack this is it!!!

Delicious, easy snack! Everyone wanted to take some home after the party! I used cinnamon and regular oat squares and some extra syrup mix, but it would've been great to just follow the recipe!Enjoy! Thanks for the recipe!! Love & Light

can i use walnuts instead of pecans, or would that change the flavor too much? I'm not that big a fan of pecans
