schweigr@total.netDried KiwiIngredients (use vegan versions): 4 Kiwis (Must be half ripe. If too ripe, kiwis won't dry properly.)
Directions:1. Cut kiwis into 1/4 of an inch thick. 2. Place cut up kiwis on dehydrator. 3. Leave vents open and leave kiwis in for 12-24 hrs. ( The longer you leave the kiwis in, the dryer they get.)
Serves: 3-4
Preparation time: 12-24 hrs.
We found the kiwis tasted kind of caramelly - a real treat!

I think this is a smart idea. I love kiwis and I tried it once it tastes really good.

I have had a food dehydrator for several years, and this is one of the most popular things I make with it. These travel great too, stored in a platic bag, or a tupperware container. (I actually use and old Boston Chicken container that came form somewhere, I can't quite figure out where)

True! Not that it (really) matters but a kiwi is a bird native to New Zealand, or the nickname of a New Zealander. So you are cutting up an innocent bird!!! (or New Zealander!). Just joking, I understand the fruits nickname. I wish I had a food dehydrater now because these DO sound yummy
