Shake Your Boodie Cuz Its Better N Ice Cream

Ingredients (use vegan versions):

    Frozen Banana (Natures ice cream)
    Frozen Strawberries
    Frozen Peaches
    Orange Juice
    Apple Juice

Directions:

Best to use very ripe bananas.  Slice the Bananas before freezing.  Amount of ingredients can vary, Depends on amount wanted, but makes sure to add twice as much banana as anything else and keep the juice amounts low so it will not be to runny.

Let the frozen ingredients thaw for five minutes.  Place the frozen banana slices in a large mug(I use the thermas mugs you can get at 7-11 or service stations.)  Dice up the bananas as you add them.  Fill the mug half full of banana.  Next dice up strawberries 1/4 to the top.  Next dice up peaches the last 1/4 to almost top of mug.  Add orange juice and apple juice(about 1/2 cup of each).  Then use a hand blender and blend it up until smooth (Add juice as needed).  A knife is useful to chop it up a little so it is easier to blend.  The shake should be thick and smooth.  For larger amounts use a blender, just be sure to add Lots O Banana.  Thats the key ingredient.  Dadgumit! Thats better n ice cream!

(The sliced banana is a quick and easy snack as well.  Just slice and freeze then popem in your mouth for a tasty treat on a hot day.  No fat and dadburnit! if its not better n ice cream!

Serves: Varies

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Man, this sounds so good, I wish I owned a blender... peace brothers Smiley

Get a blender...this is worth it.  I made this and it is DEFINITELY better than what most people call icecream.  I had to leave the house before I finishe'd it off myself - I have to show it off to the rest of the household!!  I may give them a couple of spoonfuls...then I'll eat the rest!  Shocked)

This was FABULOUS!! I used pineapple instead of peaches and skipped the orange juice. I also used unsweetened apple sauce instead of the juice. Thank you so much for this wonderful idea!!!

Oh, this is *really* good!  I tried it last night and we scarfed it down!  Mmmmm...  I just used OJ and a smidge of unsweetened soymilk.  Wow!  The bananas give it this amazing texture.  Thanks for the recipe!

This is the only "ice cream" I've made that stays soft in the freezer.  Amazing recipe.  Thank you!!!

Ah, fruit.  How I love smashed up frozen fruit.  This stuff is amazing, really.  I used 5 frozen bananas, about 1 1/2 cups frozen strawberries, and maybe one cup of ambiguous mixed fruit I found hiding in the back of the freezer.  I added some lime juice and soymilk and just a tiny bit of organic maple syrup.  I was short on time so I only froze it for about 20 minutes before serving, but next time I'll definitely freeze it longer, stirring every 30 minutes or so.  The wee ones ate it with chocolate syrup on top, but it was absolute vegan decadence even without the chocolate.  Great with some cinnamon sprinkled on top, too!

This was incredibly easy, and loved by my whole family (including a normally fussy 4-year-old).  The texture was wonderful.  I changed nothing, except that I used frozen raspberries and blueberries instead of fruits listed.  I will make this one again, its a great, healthy choice for when we have a hankering for something sweet.  Totally guilt-free, what more could you ask for?
