Yummy Breakfast Tofu

Ingredients (use vegan versions):

    3 tablespoon nutritional yeast
2 - 4 thick slices of firm tofu
    1 tablespoon olive oil
    salt and pepper

Directions:

1. Put nutritional yeast on a plate, season to taste with salt and pepper

2. Dip tofu slices in mixture

3. Saute at med. heat until coating is brown and crisp and tofu is heated through.

4. Drain on paper towel (or not if you don't mind oil)

Eat alone or on whole-grain toast with ketchup.

Amazing!!!

Serves: 1

Preparation time: 5 mins

I really liked this. I did add a little braggs to the tofu, tho. It tasted like a fried egg sandwich. Yummmmmmmm!

Grin for my first time frying up some tofu, this was really good! i used garlic salt instead, as well as some red pepper flakes. take a whiff of that and i could've sworn it smelled like egg yolk o_O but, that didnt stick around after frying, which is a good thing because blech, i hate the smell of real eggs. anyways, this was yummy Smiley i had it as an english muffin sandwich and grr, i have to remember to go get a tomato before i cook this again. that would make it perfect... mmm.

I was looking for something quick and easy to make this morning and this was it.  I used a little Bragg's, but otherwise kept it the same.  I sliced up a tomato from our garden and the only thing I would have liked to do differently would be better bread.  It was yummy!  I will definitely make this again!

Just had 2 slices of this on a toasted english muffin with ketchup. Oh how I have missed fried egg sandwiches! I also added garlic powder to the mix. Thanks!
