I mader this one night when I had 6 cups of soaked black beans, and no idea of what to make.  It tasted very good to me, but you can add your favorite seasonings.

what is textured soy protein?

textured soy protein is a meat substitute, used to make veggie burgers and such like...the chilli will probably be just as nice without it.

Yum! Quick (as promised by tne recipe) and easy and very good!

A few modifications. I went to prepare the beans for this recipe and realized I had no black beans. I swapped it for pinto beans with great success. I didn't have cayenne so I added 2 Tbsp. chili powder and some crushed red pepper. To add to the veggie content I included some green pepper and canned diced tomatoes.

I served it over brown rice with a big salad. A delicious, filling meal.
