Rats, I just realized I'll be bowling at that time.  Is there going to be transcript posted?  If you haven't considered it, maybe you should??

Thank you for a wonderful chat! I got some great ideas and am really inspired to make my Vegan Feast! I want to offer a little feedback. In my experience this chat format was really horrible to try and follow for a Q&A with a big group. Even the Chef was having some trouble answering who said what. The small screen, comments whizzng by and falling off... all the while you are trying to piece together recipes and who is answering what... and frankly it was kind of stressful and all over the place!  Like people screaming out questions and having personal conversations in a filled auditorium with an instructor at the front trying to teach... it was bedlam! The info was good, but it seemed like better advantage could have been taken to set up a modality - or at least ground rules - where we could all get the most out of this opportunity so generously afforded us.

DEFINITELY it would have been so GREAT to know at the onset that the transcript WOULD indeed be posted at a later date. I went crazy trying to copy and paste small segments of ideas and recipies to my notepad and often they flew off the chat box before I could copy it all down. Very frustrating and just really so unnecessary! If only we had been told...

Next, I think it would have been helpful to have more structure from the onset, maybe to have it moderated more, or in the future maybe we could submit questions ahead of time and spend a couple minutes FINISHING one Q&A and then moving onto the next person's question etc. Not so much ALL OVER THE PLACE AT ONCE. This would have enabled the guest chef to come up with LINKS to certain recipes he recommends rather than hearing a couple ingrediants here and there and never fully having a sense of how to complete a whole dish.

Lastly, I think the biggest problem, for me at least, was the myraid of extraneous chit-chatting and unnecessary commenting off the topic that happened non-stop. I know people are friends on the site, but for this SINGLE HOUR it would have been nice to reign in the personal commentary to allow the Guest Chef to shine without all the distracting and chaotic "filler" comments. Ex: I really didn't need to give a shout-out hello and goodbye as members came and went, or to hear that everyone was crazy for a certain blender, or even how their Mama made them this or that as a kid. All that "filler" made it fifty times harder to try and get advice from the quest chef or to hear one train of ideas followed all the way through. I think there is a way to set some structure and make it a better experience for everyone. (And everyone can commence their chatter after the hour!)

I intend these to be CONSTRUCTIVE suggestions and I do hope they are taken that way. I am thankful for what I learned. Happy tofurkey day and many blessings!
