Sunnyside Carotene SmoothieIngredients (use vegan versions): 2 carrots, peeled and chopped
1/2 cup pineapple
1 banana
1/2 cup pineapple juice or coconut water
Handful of red grapes
1 teaspoon flax oil, flax seeds or soaked chia
Directions:Among the other great attributes of red grapes are the antioxidants resveratrol and quercetin. They are free radical scavengers and do a wonderful job of sweetening your veggie smoothies.
1) Chop then liquefy the carrots with the pineapple juice in a blender. Once smooth, add the rest or your ingredients, except the flax oil. Blend until smooth. Add flax and blend again for just a second. ENJOY!
