Steamed KaleIngredients (use vegan versions): kale
onion
garlic
oil (safflower, canola or the like)
sesame oil
brown rice vinegar
bragg's liquid amino's
Directions:Wash Kale but don't dry. Cut into bite size pieces of your liking.
I then put the wet kale into a preheated, non-stick Wok on medium-high heat.
Do NOT use oil at this point. Let cook until most all of the water has evaporated: The point of this is to give the kale some extra cooking time to soften and use less oil in the process. You can even add water and steam longer if you desire.
When the water has evaporated, and safflower oil (or oil of your choice) and onions and let cook until onions and kale are softened to your liking.
Add garlic and cook 20-30 seconds.
Add brown rice vinegar to taste - a tablespoon or two.
When most of the vinegar has evaporated, add a quick squirt or two of Bragg Liquid Amino's to season.
After that has evaporated some, drizzle with sesame oil & top with sesame seeds if desired.
I serve this over brown rice.
Source of recipe: I just made it for dinner one night.
