These were really yummy but they seemed to lack something for my tastes.  Maybe some crushed pineapple or serve it with a fruit salsa and it would be even better.  The bean filling itself would be great cold on a wrap or sandwich!  Thanks for the recipe:) Thumbs Up

We loved this! It's incredibly delicious. I added a couple of garlic cloves, some onion powder, chili powder, and cumin. It was so filling & satisfying - not to mention really easy. We both topped with salsa & avocado, and my boyfriend added Tofutti sour cream & hot sauce to his.

Also, a recipe similar to this appears in The Vegan Table (Colleen Patrick-Goudreau's new cookbook), except she uses hummus instead of white beans. I loved that recipe, but I actually like this even more, and I never would have thought to add liquid smoke! Looks like Sharway was ahead of the curve when she thought of this recipe!

This will be a new staple for us, especially for those lazy nights when we're hungry but don't feel like putting out a lot of effort. Smiley

I've made this more than once and this is a keeper.  Great for parties and easy cooking Fridays.  I use chickpeas (garbanzo beans) instead of white beans, and it's awesome.

This was awesome!  So easy and soooo good.  I used smoked paprika and the liquid smoke, and these were the best quesadillas I've had since becoming vegan.  The mix was reminiscent of the "smoky crock cheez" from the uncheese cookbook, but creamier and milder.  We'll definitely be making these again and again.  Thanks!

Yum! I was planning on lots of different things (onion, some tvp "meat," a cheeze sauce...), but I used all my nut. yeast, and then didn't feel like doing the other things! So, I ate them plain (no salsa or avocado). I really like the flavor, but I know it would be better with additions. It's more beany than cheezy, so an added cheeze sauce would be really good. The only change I made was to add a bit of chili powder.

I love the idea of this recipe. Very unique. I made mine a bit different - only because I did not have liquid smoke. Instead I added fire roasted green chilies and 1/2 a can of el pato (which is basically spicy tomato sauce).

But seriously, it was pretty tasty and I am excited to create other kinds of creations from it. Thanks!

This recipe has been on my to-do list since I joined vegweb. I didn't have white beans so I used garbanzo beans and I added diced fresh (home-grown) jalapeno and cilantro. Pretty good. I think it needed some vegan cheese or something. Actually, I was out of salsa and I think it needed that!
