Ice Cream Cone Christmas TreesIngredients (use vegan versions): 1 package sugar ice cream cones (not plain)
green food coloring & water
green colored sugar like Pixie Stix (or regular sugar will do)
candies for decoration
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon water
Items Needed:
paper towels
brush
small bowls for dye and candies
squeeze bottle
Directions:In a small bowl, put a few drops of green food coloring into a little bit of water. With a brush, dip into the mixture and blot with a paper towel. Brush onto the cone while holding the tip (you may want to wear surgical type gloves to avoid green fingers). While still wet, roll the cone in the sugar candy (regular sugar would work too). Let dry for a few minutes. Now it's ready to decorate with your "glue" made by mixing the powdered sugar with the tablespoon of water. Consistency should be really thick and barely runny- more like ketchup than Elmer's. Transfer the mixture to a squeeze bottle, and apply any decorations you like.
