Garlic Tofu

What you need: 

1/4 cup oil, divided
salt and pepper, to taste
20 ounces firm tofu, sliced
1-2 heads garlic, peeled
15 sprigs fresh thyme

What you do: 

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Drizzle some of the oil into the bottom of a baking pan. Sprinkle salt and pepper on top of the oil.
2. Place tofu in the baking pan, single layer. Sprinkle more salt and pepper on top of the tofu and use the rest of the oil on top of the tofu.
3. Throw in all of the peeled garlic and fresh thyme in the pan. Bake covered in foil for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Best over rice with a side of vegetables.

Once I got the ratio down (no idea how much flour I ended up adding, but the dough felt a lot firmer than when I started out), the finished gnocchi looked and tasted great.  hotel in vienna

Delicious.  I was able to find some tofu here in Florence, Italy, so I tried this out.  Will be making this again.
