Wooden Noodles

Ingredients (use vegan versions):

Pack of wheat noodles for one serving
    6-7 walnuts
    2 teaspoon of peanut butter
    2 teaspoon of sesame oil
    2 tablespoon of veg. oil
    optional: fried onions

Directions:

First, start boiling the noodles, until well done, or use 'ready to wok' noodles.

While it's preparing, crush the walnuts with a mortar and pestle.

Heat a skillet on low heat, and add in the veg. oil. After draining the noodles, add the to the skillet. Add the walnuts to the skillet and start mixing it with the noodles.

Add the sesame oil first, then add the peanut butter and start mixing everything around for another 3-5 minutes.

Ready!

As an optional addition, you can fried crunchy onions.

Serves: 1

Haha, to be honest, I just looked at them, and it looked like wood, or alike.

Simple and very satifsfying... a nice, brown, warm, 'woodish' flavour.  Grin

I felt the need to add something green though, hence the addition of half a bunch blanched asparagus.

Love the crispy-fried shallots on top. Yumb! [insert drooling smiley here]
