I made these the other night for dinner-they were so good! I haven't had pancakes in YEARS. I used agave instead of the sugar. Really good!! We will make these again soon. Thanks for the recipe.

Holy $^(%! That really was the best pancake I've ever had.

I made half the recipe and added all of the ingredients to my Magic Bullet. Blended for 10 seconds and then threw the batter in the pan. Best and easiest breakfast I've had in a long time (although some Earth Balance and berry syrup would have made it unbelievable).

I had a lot of trouble cooking these.  The batter didn't do what a normal pancake batter does.  It didn't really become pancake-like, and turned into some kinda mush-ball on the frying pan.  So, I used the rest of the batter and just baked it in the oven.  It didn't cook quite right.

For egg substitute I used half of a banana, and that gave it a nice little flavor.  I'm not sure what went wrong though.  My frying pan could be a piece of crap...?

I make this with banana as well, but I use a whole banana, that may have been what went wrong.  Try using more banana.  It also sounds like your pan may have been sticking a bit, so maybe try more non-stick spray?

I also use rice milk for this and use 1 tablespoon brown sugar and 2 tablespoons white sugar, and a bit of Cinnamon. MM!

Thanks!  I can't remember what (if anything) I used for stickiness.  Your recipe sounds delicious though-- if I get the courage to make this again I will definitely do it how you recommended!

mixed this exactly according to the recipe and used applesauce for egg replacer, but the batter didn't act like normal pancake batter at all. it wasn't fluffy at all and if i just left it cooking on one side, the top never started to bubble. it just got really gooey and rubbery, never to a normal pancake consistency. i dunno if it's because i used applesauce or what, but it was pretty disappointing.

I'm the type of person who has to really CRAVE pancakes in order to eat them; this recipe hit the spot and cured my craving tonight! I didn't have soymilk so I used water and used applesauce as the egg replacer. I ended up having to add more flour because it seemed a little runny but that's ok. I added cinnamon as well and the final product was amazing! Although it wasn't 100% what I remember pancakes to be like (taste and texture were a little different) I definately enjoyed the airy, sweet pancake that turned out. I ate them plain, because I think adding syrup would make them way too sweet.

All in all, great recipe! I will use this one again when a craving hits, hopefully I will have soymilk on hand!

Not only are they tasty, but they are the first ever vegan pancakes I have made that weren't gooey at all!  I just made them and they are perfect.  I used whole wheat pastry flour, maple syrup instead of sugar, and milled flax for the egg substitute.  I will be making these often!

EXCELLENT!  I used one mashed banana in place of the egg replacer too and I could barely keep the rest of my non-vegan family off of them!  I was looking forward to leftovers!

I guess that would be my only caveat... make them when you're by yourself or be prepared to share!   Grin

This was great!
I had a little batter leftover so I used it as a topping for one of my pancakes, truly delicious!
This is definitely going to become a regular!

alrighhtt so definitly the best pancakes i've ever made- used one mashed banana instead of egg, and added a little bit more soy milk and oil than called for because it was kind of lumpy. Super yummy Smiley

I just made them and I'm sooooo full.  My son wasn't crazy about the banana flavor so I'll try to use something else as an egg replacer next time. I also used rice milk instead of soy.  They were nice and think just the way I like them. Berry syrup worked the best for me.  Thumbs Up
