Bobo's Secret Pasta

Ingredients (use vegan versions):

    spaghetti noodles for 2
1/2 cup prepared red pasta sauce
    2 tablespoon olive oil
    2 teaspoon hot sauce

Directions:

This is pretty easy and very tasty. My friend makes it (her nickname is Bobo) when I don't feel well. You can adjust the amount of oil/hot sauce if you want.  Basically, you make spaghetti with oil and hot sauce added.

Boil the pasta noodles as directed on the package. Drain well and return to the pot. Add pasta sauce, oil, and hot sauce to taste. Turn heat on and cook a little, making sure the sauce warms up.  The sauce has a very greasy mouth-feel with a spicy bite to it. Goes well with some salad.

We really like it but, being grad students, we need new ways to eat pasta!

Serves: 2

Preparation time: 20 minutes

I am going to try this! I love simple, unusual ideas that I have never thought of.  I think I will use Melinda's XXXX Habanero, or some homemade habanero sauce. Any special hot sauce you use??

I love this recipe.  It's so simple, but great comfort food.  I especially like the addition of the olive oil to the sauce...seriously, so good!!!

This was actually good! I like the extra kick that the hot sauce gives it. Now I know Bobo's secret! Thanks! Grin

I made a slight change by sauteing up 2 sliced up Tofurkey Italian sausages and garlic and adding to that the spaghetti sauce and hot sauce along with a few dashes of red pepper flakes.  My lips are still burning, but boy did that taste so good!  What a guilty pleasure that was easy to make, tasted great, and didn't need anything cheesy to add to it!  Thanks for the great recipe.
