Darn. I did not enjoy this much at all... It wasn't bad by any means, but I just kind of found it "blah." I might experiment with it a little bit & try again, though! I really love the idea of using the crescent rolls as a crust! Smiley

Well geez this is exciting! I hadn't thought to check this site for months and months and it's so cool that so many of you like this recipe! Gives me that warm feeling.

Ooooh mushrooms and shredded carrots sound awesome. I'm definitely having to try that this weekend (I like to kick the weekend off with good eating too- dorks be proud!).

I'm glad the lowfat crescent rolls are still tasty. I didn't go vegan for the health benefits but that's why I've gained so much weight since I did do it! Tofu and crescent rolls.... mmmmmmm...... I will have to give that a shot though, thanks for the tip!!

I always put a ton of spices in my food... I'm definitely not one of those supertasters, so I thought it would be safer to present the basics on this site. The tofu sucks so much flavor up that you need to add a lot more than you first think you need!  Cheesy

ok so it HAPPENED to be cheaper to buy the Marie Callendar frozen pie crust, so I decided to use that, i would recommend if you do that you bake the crust for a bit before loading it with the quiche... I am definitely going to try the crescent roll method next time.

AMAZING Cheesy
Tastes like the real thing, but better! I was soooooooo happy that this recipe worked, my mom always made the most amazing quiche, and now I can recreate it! I will make again for sure! I love that you can just throw in whatever veggies you have in the kitchen... I used Spinach, Yellow Zucchini Squash and Mushrooms, lots of garlic!!! and onion and the seasoning was amazing. This is the perfect thing to bring to a pot luck.

AMAZING Grin

Delicious! Don't try to get by with only one package of crescent rolls. Don't mix it in a blender, use a food processor or potato masher. I added lots of extra garlic powder, thyme, and sage. I also added one egg's worth of  Ener-G egg replacer to hold it all together, but I'm not sure if this was really necessary. The uncooked mixture looks like it won't fit into one pie tin, but it does! It was done in 40 minutes. Thanks for a keeper!

This was a great meal. I did add some "cheese" in the filling. It was so moist and held together nicely. Thumbs Up
