Italian Hoagie

Ingredients (use vegan versions):

    1 medium hoagie roll, toasted
2 slices Tofutti mozzarella (or vegan cheese of choice)
2 slices Yves veggie salami (or vegan meat of choice)
    1/4 tomato, sliced thinly
    lettuce
    onion, sliced thinly (optional)
    vegan mayo (optional)
    salt
    pepper
    oil
    vinegar
    oregano (very important!)

Directions:

Don't open the hoagie roll all the way.  Open it like a hotdog roll.  Put together sandwich as follows:

One side of bread: mayo, cheese, tomato, onion, lettuce and salami.

Other side of bread:  apply oil, vinegar, salt, pepper.

Add more oregano than you would think to the middle of the sandwich.

Close!

Eat!

Serves: 1

Preparation time: 10 minutes

This was soooo good. I don't usually eat yves salami and rarely have tofutti mozarella but I actually had both on hand so I made it and it was super tasty. Very simple. The only difference was that I only had french bread.  I didn't have any hoagie rolls. I'll have to try them next time!  Roll Eyes
