Savory Chickpeas

What you need:

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon savory (or more)
2 cans chickpeas (540 ml)
1 1/2 cups vegetable broth
salt and pepper to taste

What you do:

Saute onion and garlic in large pot until golden.
Add chickpeas, savory and vegetable broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Cook for 15 minutes or until sauce has thickened to a gravy-like consistency. Add salt and pepper.
I made this when my family was preparing a chicken dinner and I wanted something vegetarian that would fit in with the meal. It turned out to be really yummy!

This sounds good!  I LOVE chickpeas  :D  BTW...what is savory?

By savory I mean dried summer savory, the kind you can pick up in a little shaker jar in the grocery store.  Hope you like it!
