i couldn't follow this recipe exactly because i didn't have all the ingredients, but i can definitely see why this recipe is such a hit! i don't normally like raw tomatoes, either, but when my co-op had some organic ones i knew i had to try this recipe. Smiley i used a slice of tofutti instead of cream cheese, and basil instead of oregano, and broiled the whole thing in my oven (not particularly a fan of the semi-greasiness of grilled cheese) and oh my goodness it was delicious. next time, though, i will try to follow the recipe exactly to see if i like tofutti cream cheese! thanks so much for the idea. Smiley (i should have taken a picture but i ate it too fast!)

Fantastic sandwich! I added fresh basil leaves before closing the sandwich. Buttered it up with Smart Balance Light topped with garlic powder before grilling on my skillet.

Excellent. Quick and easy. I will be making this again.

The recipe doesn't look like much, but WOW, this was TASTY! I just ate 2 for dinner! Plus, it took less than 10 minutes! It fills the spot of grilled  cheese. Try it.

Ok wow! I was really in the mood for something easy and simple, as I am usually a complicated recipe kinda gal and I gotta tell ya....YUMMMMMO! I used wheat bread, tofutti, roma tomatos, fresh scallions, instead of red onion as I didnt have any on hand, and it was perfect! I am mighty full, and I love that is it like a grilled cheese. I used fresh oregano and garlic powder on the top portion with soy butter and it was delish..thanks so much to your little brother and you!! Smiley Thumbs Up Erin~

oh my gosh...this is the best sandwhich ever!!! i just made this for dinner following the recipe exactly but on my panini grill, using lavash bread with a home grown tomato and fresh basil. i also added thinly sliced english cucumber (after it was grilled to prevent soggyness) im in love!

i made this sandwhich again but because i was short on time i didnt bother grilling it. i warmed it in the mircowave for 30 seconds and it was still so good! this time i also added sliced enlgish cucumber, capers, and diced cornichons. (this adds a saltyness that reminds me of my favorite bagel shops specialty cream cheese flavor, but better!) in all honesty, this is my favorite sandwhich, ever.

OMG, pineapple! This was fantastic! It's so good, I ran out to the market to get more tomatoes! I made it in a whole wheat pita and layered in some fresh basil leaves I got growing....mmm...the only problem is, when I'm done, I always wish I had another one...which I'm too lazy to go make...yummy!

This was really good! I didn't have any red onion so I left it out. I love how cheesy the tofutti tastes when it is melted. I will make this lots!
