circe@beatdevice.comSeasoned Butter BeansIngredients (use vegan versions): 1 can of butter beans (drained)
1-2tablespoon margarine
salt
pepper
garlic powder
onion powder
dried parsley
Directions:Put beans in a small saucepan, add margarine and seasonings (as much as you wish, to taste) and heat through.
I usually serve this as a side dish, as a less starchy substitute for potatoes or rice, but I am sure you could eat it as a main dish if you wish.
Serves: 2-4
Preparation time: 5 minutes
These were great, I used olive oil instead of the vegan marg and threw in loads of different spices as i had no Onion powder. Next time I'll try tamari...i reckon this would be good mashed and spread on rice cakes too!

Could someone tell me what butter beans are, are they lima beans. They sound nice as a side dish, would they be good with a little lemmon on them as well.
