wife swap epi.

i was sooo grossed out by the family that ate raw meat. they didnt cook it at all. im glad the mom from the other family didnt eat the meat while she was there. lol, supposedly the family that she was staying with got sick after they ate at a resteraunt.

thats so funny b/c i just watched that episode and i couldn't believe it either.  so disgusting and absurd.  i was in shock the entire thing and thats what kept me watching.  i told my friend i've heard of the raw foods diet, but i didn't know it involved meat!  sick.  i can't believe they ate raw chicken and so many raw eggs per day.

Yes, I just watched that too, and was waiting for someone here to mention it!  I was pretty grossed out by that family too, but sympathized with their philosophies about caring what goes in your body and staying away from chemicals.  And I did think it was awful that the dad of the other family had no problem eating meat as long as he didn't have to deal with the killing of it.  Maybe I missed something, but the raw food mom seemed to have a problem with the process of big-factory slaughter, but she was all prepared to slit that chicken's throat herself, wasn't she?

I assume they ate veggies, but they sure showed them eating animal products a lot!  I think they must have showed more of that just to gross the audience out.  Did anyone else see the cat underneath the milking cow getting freebies?  That was kind of cute in a weird way.

"lets just show them downing meat and eggs" was to gross viewers out and make the family look weird. but there was the time they were making wheatgrass juice and they talked about different fruit/veggie meals...but veggies don't gross people out i guess (well, not like raw meat does).

When they showed the father in the bathroom crying, with the brown commode beside him.  OMG , I don't care who you are filth is still filth.

also raw food diets don't have to include meat or dairy. there are lots of raw vegans.

I was actually raw for a while and usually go back to a raw diet in the summers and I have never heard of of a raw foodie eating meat before. Sashimi I've heard occasionally but never chicken and eggs :P ugh. I'm glad it was at least from a sustainable source.

I'm also glad I don't have cable :)

i dont know if they kept the little garden up or not. would be kool if they did. when i get merrick into another room (we co sleep in the same bed b/c we cant convert his crib into a toddler bed until we get the other parts) im going to do a small indoor garden with the chamomile and peppermint seeds i got from celestial seasonings. i love thier camomile tea.

this is a network show...i don't have cable! if i did i am sure i would find much more quality programing to watch.

Aww, c'mon, Wife Swap is top-notch quality programming!  ::)

Well, maybe not, but I secretly love it.  I really like that looking into these people's lives somehow makes me feel like mine is kinda normal.  I also like that most of the time, even though the families start out despising each other, usually there is some love at the end, and more often than not, someone really set in his/her ways learns to mellow out a bit.

Where I live if you don't have cable you don't have T.V. We are too far out in the boondocks. We do get one Christian station in kinda fuzzy late at night. We just keep the t.v. to watch movies on. If there is something I am really interested in I have my friend tivo it for me. I really love not having cable though.

Me too, but I don't get that fuzzy Christian station late at night. Not having T.V. is good stuff.  ;)  (I do miss Bill Nye the Science Guy, though)

lol, right now the only reason i want cable is b/c the new season of power rangers will premiere next monday. i know i get joked on a little b/c im 24 yrs old and still like power rangers. its actually how i got my s/n for here and how i picked merrick's name. karaone is a character from in space (her other name in that series was astronema b/c as astronema she was the rangers enemy) and lost galaxy, merrick is a character from wild force (was my fav character from that season). for wild force since it was the 10th season they had a epi called forever red b/c it had all the red rangers (except rocky) from the past seasons. then for dino thunder they brought back tommy back. this yr is the 15th yr and theres been rumors that johnny young bosch (adam in seasons 2 and 3 then zeo and turbo seasons) might be coming back along with a few of the others from the disney series (disney took over after wild force b4 that it was saban making it). i think that if they keep making sentai in japan then power rangers will keep going also.

Bill's show was awesome.  But unless it's in reruns somewhere, you haven't missed anything since 2002.  :'(

His website is still up:  http://www.billnye.com/

PBS reruns are not a problem for me. Our library only has three videos of Bill, they're always out, but we just keep putting a reserve hold on those same three videos! Love Bill.

b4 i moved back in here we would get 6 local channels and if we were lucky then 2 christian channels and one local black channel. i heard a rumor on the us' tribe message board that the local black channel was supposed to get the tribe (another show i like that has some of the power rangers actors when disney shipped to nz).

i get 5 or 6 channels with my antenna and TWO are jesus channels!! for a long time i didn't realize there was more than one christian channel...

lol, in my part of the country we call this quality programming Able--anything we're able to pick up!

Haha, I have 5 channels, or 7 on a really good day.  Ofcourse the extra two are BBC and some religious channel.  ::)  Score!  As for the wife swap episode, I was disgusted at how foul the raw-meat-eaters house was!!  Aren't they going to catch some horrible disease or something?!  I mean, he pulled out a jar of month old flesh from the refridgerator.  That HAS to be laden with bacteria.......
