What song is stuck in your head today?

WHY oh why is it that the song that gets stuck in your head and goes roundandround all day is never one you actually LIKE? In fact, it's usually one you hate!
And if not, you hate it by the end of the day.
Today I'm stuck with a song from "Guys and Dolls": Sit down you're rocking the boat.
Sigh.
What's in your head today?
Ok. Double post.
I can't get M83's "Midnight City" out of my head. The atmosphere in this song just takes me to a good place. Sort of like..what's that band..Washed Out? Yes! Them.
I want to pretend I am from the Southern US and "Bless my DD's little heart" for putting Vegie Tales on the TV for her son. I am now suffering through THIS stuck in my head.

Lol I love Veggie Tales songs :)
Oasis Don't Go Away
Thanks to a convo with secondbase, I've started an interest in hardcore trance (what my google results tell me is hardcore trance). I've been stuck with "Get On Up" by DJ Rush.
But I'm starting to push my way through with some Deadmau5.
Europe's FINAL COUNTDOWN!
what my google results tell me is hardcore trance...
Fair warning: you have opened up a huge can of worms as political and contentious as a presidential race. I call it all fairly broadly "trance," but if you go throwing the word around you will get 10000 wiggers whining at you with "Dat's experimental dance, dip-shit" and "um, dat's techno, tool!" Enjoy!

Hell yeah! DOPE. Of course I would say "Get On Up" was techno, dipshit ;)
I have this in my head tonight, specifically the segment @4:33 to 5:13, for some reason the crescendo up to "we'll beat back the pain we found" has always made me cry since the very first time I heard it.

:-D Well, I'm glad you approve of the DJ Rush and Deadmau5. I loved your explanation and other comments, though.

I'm in a snit. YouTube won't let me watch the Veggie Tales vid.

I woke up very early this AM (please don't fret as I went to sleep very early last night) with 1 thing gnawing on my mind, "I have to edit that message in WSISIYHT thread to remove "dipshit" as Josh may not 100% get that I was being playful and may take offense." Well, after laying there a while, I decided to sign on and fit it. BUT you had already read it (EST in OH, right?) and the great news is you seemed to get all the jokes I was making. I swear I did not do the playful but hard edged quips most of my life until I joined this site. So it still makes me nervous to call people "jerk face" or "dipshit" when I am not 100% certain it will be taken in jest.
Also, I want to make sure I did not come off as a know it all on club music. In fact I know very little about it. I know more, perhaps, about all the bickering that surrounds it, rather than the actual nuances of it. I have read the dialogue you have going with SB and clearly he knows WAY more about it than me. Seriously, back when I used to go to raves and dance clubs, I usually bluffed with things like, "they are playing dance music." Then when someone came back with "What type?" I'd swallow really hard and deepen the bluff with, "Mostly techno, some trance and stuff." Not really knowing much distinctive nuances between them. If they followed up with, "hardcore? DnB or what?" I abandon the bluff and say, "I am not sure, wanna check it out?" Inevitably we would go in and there would be an awkward moment then, "I thought you said this was trance, it is all house, I don't like this at all." I would try to save face with, "Yeah, they are all over the place, let's find something else." But what I am really thinking at this point is, "I have to either learn WAY too much about dance music OR dump this friend for someone who will fold in response to my bluff." ;)
I simply like it ALL or MOST of it, except some of the most tweaked stuff - I am not partial to heavy buzzing and prefer clever hooks in the breaks in mainstream trance, also prefer generally less lyrics of trance. If I hung out at raves often, or was a pro like SB, I most likely would know more of the ins and outs.
What I like about it? I noticed that you wrote to SB, "can't imagine dancing all night to this" THAT is what I like about it: it has an energy to it that you do not even to move at all, it moves for you. So I feel like I am dancing when when I am just sitting here. Also, as Quintess once said, although she meant it as a half slight, "It is like listening to an energy drink." EXACTLY!!!

LOLOL!! I read your earlier post and thought, "who the hell does he think he is?" I'm totally kidding! I'm pretty easy going with most things...a little too laid back with others...and too wound up with other things. Overall, though, I'm a balance of both. I've had a lot worse said to me in the forums but I've been 10 steps ahead and have forgiven them. ANYHOW! Either way, I got what you were saying and I didn't take offense to it.
I don't know everything about the music we discussed either. SB has really introduced me to some new music styles I never knew. I'm always intrigued to learn new things, especially music. If I don't know an artist or a style of music, tell me about it and let me learn. If I don't like it, I'll still greet you with an open ear. And - hahahaha! I like the comment about listening to an energy drink. Just please don't say you like dubstep. Ha!

Yabbit, count yourself blessed. The song basically goes:
If it hasn't got a tail, it's not a monkey
even if it's got a monkey kinda' shape.
If it hasn't got a tail, it's not a monkey
Without a tail, it's not a monkey, it's an ape.
then they go on misidentifying animals and objects as monkeys and apes. :-\
This song is still going through my head. It has been at least 3 days now! >:(
I love my daughter
I love my daughter...
I love my daughter...

That's right. I've fallen under the spell of pop dance music. I like it, though. It makes me wanna dance. Huh. Imagine that. Dance music making me want to dance... Who woulda thunk? 8-)
Oh, Susanna from Saturday's show.

Josh.... i will disregard the fact that you down played via comment about deadmau5 on River singing Sofie needs a latter.
sweet video HH
I stinking loathe this song, and it's been in my head for almost three hours.

I have no idea if that video embedding will work. I am a message board novice.

So that's a "song", is it? Cute pics, but as for the backup vocals...meh.
Is that part of something? I dunno it's just...huh.
my daughter saw this once about two years ago.... she is 4, and she was singing it last night. thank you internet memes.
It's no Night on Bald Mountain, but I think it still qualifies as a song.
I don't know where it came from. My friend always reminds me of this song when we're in the vicinity of mushrooms. There's an entire website of annoying songs, if you're interested: www.weebls-stuff.com/

Yabbit, a few years ago, my kids and their friends "sang" a bunch of this style of songs while "dancing" to them. The only explanation I can come up with is that they are written to confound and annoy adults/parents. One does not spend much time pondering the mysteries of teen brains too much or one might loose their own.
