Mason Jennings and Fleet Foxes, some Jose Gonzalez and Devendra Banhart thrown in too
Blonde Redhead is my latest obsession. Their music is so haunting and is definitely meant for some love making. ;)
Even if love making is out of the question, the music puts a fog over reality (sometimes needed).
I highly recommend them.
i've watched this no less that 10 times today... i got radiohead retarded over the last hour or two...

aaaahhLOVE Devendra Banhart. and Fleet Foxes.
Mr. Banhart is probably the most amazingly attractive man I've ever seen and heard, aside from James. :) We have all of his music, Fleet Foxes' first album, and a ton of other groovy/chill/folkish/generally beautiful music on a huge playlist that We have for Our barn studio space. It's all stuff that fits in with the colorful walls and the folksy artistic setting.
So today We've heard Django Reinhardt, Animal Collective, The Beatles, and Tinariwen. to name a few.
/goes to check out Jose Gonzalez and Mason Jennings because I trust Your taste...

I agree about Devendra, I never get tired of listening to him. Mason and Jose are a bit different from the others. Hope you like:)
Today was more Fleet Foxes (The Protector is going through my head) and the California chicks I like - Mariee Sioux, Alela Diane, and some old Kate Wolf.
The Hail To The Thief album by Radiohead Such an amazing album. Almost as good as Amnesiac

The National, Beirut, Sufjan Stevens (His cover of You are the Blood, specifically.. I dont listen to Sufjan much really)
"Leaving On A Jet Plane" by John Denver
and
"Cold" by Crossfade
and
"My Chick Bad" by Ludacris
...my mind is random at times...
mmm... love me some national.
The Detroit Cobras

Yaaay! <33
....We're definitely going to have to add some Jose Gonzalez to Our mix.
Today: Cat Stevens, Boards of Canada, Selda(Turkish psychedelia), and some of James' music, including Sundown Cicada.
James made a badass mix CD as a present to give to somebody at his birthday party this weekend. (there'll be a massive treasure hunt with several fun gifts to be found) ..The mix includes:
23 Skidoo
Devendra Banhart
The Incredible String Band
Atlas Sound
Animal Collective
Karen O And The Kids (from the "Where the Wild Things Are" soundtrack)
Gheorghe Zamfir (a sweet Pan Flautist)
some "Fantastic Planet" soundtrack bits (by Alain Goraguer)
...and tons more awesome stuff.
We listened to a bunch of stuff by these artists today, as he narrowed some down for the mix.
Incredible string band is pret-tay cool. So is Karen O & the Kids. And so is the massive treasure hunt which I wish I were going to.
Today was lots of...
The Big Pink
Blind Man's Colour
Mr. Meeble
Aphex Twin
Right now I am drunk with wine and listening to old jazz records with my friend Devon. woot.
Jorge Ben.
I haven't listened to 'Puro Suingue' for a while, and almost forgot how awesome this guy is.
I was in the hospital and watched some MTV because it was the one channel I could understand. I'm glad I did, because I discovered "She Said" by Plan B. Maybe I'm way out of the loop for not knowing it before. But omg so good. reminds me of marvin gaye.
