Let's see: same organization of peripheral & central nervous systems; same amygdala/ limbic system setup controlling emotional responses; same hippocampus-controlled memory functions; same need for social bonds with others of their species... OF F'NG COURSE they feel emotions in a similar way to humans! Duh, indeed!

Second that! This book is on my 'Favorites' shelf, on Shelfari. Awesome book about the emotional lives of animals, emphasizing both physiology & behavior...very well written/ easy to read... good recommendation, catpanclub!
