Julie and Julia: Adventurous?

Okay so I watched Julie and Julia about 4 times...and It makes me want to really dig me teeth into a Vegetarian Cookbook...I can do it but the only thing I fear is gaining Weight

I would love to find a new adventure though.

My friend did something similar, though with pies.  She was making about 4 pies (from scratch) a week, in addition to her full-time job and living in Manhattan (which is an exhausting, fulltime job in itself).  I loved reading her blog posts and seeing her pictures.  She'd take all her pies to work and they'd gobble them up.  If weight gain would be an issue, perhaps you could give to the food away?  I'm sure your family/friends/neighbors/coworkers would looooove that.  Though, I don't feel that even the most fattening veggie foods can even begin to compare to some of the things Julia Child cooked up.  If you have the money, the time, and the love of cooking, i say it sounds like a fun project :)  keep us posted!

Sounds fun to me too. I don't think gaining weight would be too much of a concern - especially if you chose a cookbook with healthful recipes. Even with the dessert section, you could just make one recipe a week or even every other week.

I still haven't seen this movie....

how about cocktails? fast and easy - endless possibilities and who doesn't like cocktails? the weight gain isn't as bad.
