The Biggest Loser
I told you I was going to do it.
It starts tonight, and I'm excited! It's probably my favorite show. It's always so inspiring, and sweet. I'm still mad about Helen winning last season. Well, not mad..but Tara should have won!
He is my next door neighbor. He's a pretty cool guy and comes to the restaurant I work in quite often.
lol. Once you're on the Biggest Loser it must be tough to go to restaurants because you'd feel pressure to only ever order the healthiest menu item.
Oh, that (for some reason) reminded me. I turned the tv on before the show started, so it was the end of Entertainment Tonight, and they were talking to Chris from the first (?) season (the one who won, and then gained all the weight back, and was challenged by Bob to lose it again). He and his wife were talking about how once you are on the Biggest Loser, they drop you once you're off the show, and forget about you. Whine, whine, yada. I was like..really? Do you except a life time commitment of care from a reality show? I mean, you're on your own in your life, buddy.
I agree!! Was it just me or did the white team guy smile in an I like you way at the pink team girl when she was on the scale? I like the yellow team mom and the white team and green team the most so far. My husband thinks I'm nuts because I was crying basically the whole show. Oh and is just me or has Allison lost some weight?
I couldn't believe how big all the contestants are, every season they get so much bigger.... I love the show but I think it gives people an unrealistic goal as far as weight loss. I mean what average person loses 20 pounds in 1 week? Or close to 10 pounds a week for several weeks in a row. If you're morbidly obese and begin exercising you will lose quite a bit during the first month because there's so much weight to lose plus water weight, etc. But most people I see at the gym trying to lose weight are overweight, not even close to morbidly obese, so for someone a little overweight expecting to lose that much at one time just isn't possible. But then again it's a reality show. I have a lot of mixed feelings about it but watch it anyway. It's always sad when someone loses 5 pounds in a week and is disappointed in themselves, it's like wtf that's amazing! It takes some people a month or longer to lose that.
You're right ac it was orange team. I like the mom she went crazy and just let it out. She reminds me of my mom.
Yeah, I liked the season premiere. It was not as emotional as the last one, but still good. I felt soooo bad for the blue and yellow teams and I am so excited that they at least got to meet Bob and Jillian and get to come back. So yay. Yeah, I definitely like the orange team mom. She seems to be a real fighter and fun too. I am not sure who I am rooting for yet. It is just too early to tell. I am so glad the show is back though! :)
Sorry, I'm always behind....
I really like the green team (Miggly and Migdelina?) and the gray team.
I felt so bad for the blue team, when the mom was crying and screaming how sorry she was to her daughter - that chocked me up a little, but other than that, no tears...
And yes, AC, we were also wondering about the pink girl's back - I think it might be moles or something. That would be a weird place for a tattoo considering she's always been that heavy.
Oh I didn't think it was boring.....the red woman really irritated me, but the game players always do....and when Patti (the woman that went home) said that her diabetes didn't affect her day to day life, but her feet are numb!?!? How is that not affecting your day to day life? Too bizarre....
I was disappointed they didn't show the green team very much - they were my favorite from last week, but now I kinda like the black team.
I can see where green team is coming from. I think it's a latin thing. The woman is the matriarch of her family and has to be strong for everybody and in general they really don't show much emotion but, anger. I think it's going to be tuff for her to get through that and even tuffer for Jillian cause latin ladies don't give. I think grey team is my fave so far because they have good workout ethic. You can tell thyey really want to be there. As for red come on seriously?????? Two weeks in a row?????? I don't think Michael is even trying. Come on now Shay was theh biggest too and she worked her butt off!!! He seems to be trying to make excuses for himself.
I loved when jillian went off on the red team. That woman is so whiny/bitchy/heinous. I think the gray team is my favorite. They seem like good people.
I missed most of last night's show, but I did see the part where Michael chose the teams. I'm with you, AC..I don't understand why they always think they can get away with being an asshole. He purposely divided those couples. Ugh. He's kinda been getting on my nerves for a while anyway though. I'm not exactly sure why, I just don't really like him. I wish the show wasn't 2 freakin hours long.
