Hello Awesome People Who Know VegWeb Best!
As I'm getting to know the site and learning as much as I can, I thought I'd take a moment to get opinions on any changes you'd like to see. What do you like? Love? Want to throw out a window? Anything and everything! It's obvious the community is active and vibrant and so I KNOW you have some opinions! Let's hear 'em!
If you're feeling shy or don't want to post in a thread, feel free to email me at eval(unescape('%64%6f%63%75%6d%65%6e%74%2e%77%72%69%74%65%28%27%3c%61%20%68%72%65%66%3d%22%6d%61%69%6c%74%6f%3a%6c%61%75%72%61%40%76%65%67%77%65%62%2e%63%6f%6d%22%3e%6c%61%75%72%61%40%76%65%67%77%65%62%2e%63%6f%6d%3c%2f%61%3e%27%29%3b')).

We used to be able to search for people and now we can't. I don't think. Am I right? If so, I like that function.
Member Profiles has moved to the drop-down under Forums. The search is there.
We had that, but we also had a search. So, if I wanted to go to a blog, let's say, I wouldn't have to search for a post or scroll through general lists. I could just do a search specifically for that person.
No, go to member profiles. At the top there is "search," and it's the same search thing.
Found it. Thanks. ;)b
Hello
I was thinking it would be nice to see a spot just on sustainable living and 'green' living.
Hi LilyRoze - we love cookbooks and they'll be getting their own main category page very soon, perhaps even today! They are not a lesser category and I'm sorry if there was any confusion! If you have any other questions about it, feel free to email me, laura at vegweb dot com! Thanks!!
webmistress Laura speaks the truth... I spy a cookbooks category all on it's own on the front page now... : )

Back when only subscribers could message, we used to be able to message multiple people. However, that left it open so that people who didn't have memberships could change a name and use the reply function to message someone else entirely. Y removed that loophole and made it so we can only message one person at a time shortly before vegnews came on board. It would be nice to have messaging back the way it was, so that we could message multiple people at the same time.
(Not that I use messaging much, but, you know... what if...)
You could actually use that trick even if only one person messaged you. I used to do it all the time. You just changed that name. bp taught me that trick. I was sad when Y took it away. No matter anymore though!
And yes, messaging multiple people is really necessary, especially for meetups and things.
I don't want to search through this whole thread, so I don't know if it's already been mentioned, but I'd like it if when people submitted recipes individual ingredients would be analyzed to produce the nutritional information of the entire dish. Maybe that's too big of a request though, not sure. :-\
About search. Why when I search for "baked chimichangas" do I not get this recipe?
http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=22344.0
It seems like I have this sort of problem alot. I put in the exact title of the recipe and it either isn't the first recipe that comes up or it doesn't even come up at all like the baked chimichangas (fantastic recipe by the way!)
Is there something I'm missing?
Yes. Very much this. I ran into it yesterday. I typed the exact name of a recipe into the "13,000+ Recipes" and got forum results instead of the recipe.

I totally agree. This is so frustrating. Even if I type in the EXACT name for a recipe, things totally unrelated will still come up in the search results... Or chat threads where someone mentioned two years ago that they like chimichangas (if that's the recipe I'm looking for)... But if I go to Google & type in " + VegWeb," I get what I'm looking for!
I think in the same place as the topic of the thread should be the date of the original post so people don't think the topic is recent when it is really like 3 years old! I know this has been an issue recently :-\
I like that idea, Amy! ;)b
I'd like to know how many reviews the stars are based on.
