Weekly Giveaway: VN Holiday Cookie Collection! WINNERS INSIDE! Plz email me!
VegNews has pulled out all the stops on their Holiday Cookie Collection (http://vegnews.myshopify.com/products/vegnews-holiday-cookie-collection). I have a copy and let me tell you, after making two of the recipes, I'm beyond sold. This book alone is what might be leading to my need for the serious detox I've been talking about all newsletter. But I can't resist! With recipes like Candy Cane Whoopie Pies and Pecan-Pie Truffles, I have no choice but to bust out the baking sheets. Really, this was never a fair fight.
This week we're giving away not one, not two, but 5 copies of this decadent e-book!
For a chance to win a copy, let us know what your favorite holiday cookie is!
Contest ends on Tuesday, November 10th at midnight, PST! Winner will be chosen at random!
Peanut butter + chocolate no-bake cookies. Or in my house, they're simply called no-bakes.
Really I love holiday cookie time. Why? Because it's the only time of the year when my mother takes time off of work and doesn't end up working anyway. She actually does things (like make cookies!) with me. I love it.
Oatmeal cookies w/ dried fruit. But if I could ever find the fabled vegan butterscotch chip, I could make oatmeal scotchies! The best cookie ever!
Anything with ginger in it. Especially chewy ginger molasses cookies.
Cookies!! OMG! How can I possibly pick just one?? I think my favourite to make is good old chocolate chip--so versatile and who doesn't love them?? For the holidays though--I do like to get fancy and make Peanut Butter Truffle cookies, Peppermint Patties, and Raspberry Thumbprints!
Happy Holidays everyone!! <3
For Christmas time I guess I'd have to say sugar cookies, but oatmeal cookies would probably be my overall favorite. I really hope I win this one b/c since recovering from my eating disorder I've rarely had sweets of any kind but want to start feeling comfortable with having them on occasion, I feel as long as I have a little like one or two sweets a week or so I should be fine... its been waaaayyyy too long!
I love colored sugar cookies, especially with the sugar sprinkles on top. :)>>> I'd love to win a cookbook - I've never won anything before and I just love cookbooks. Thanks for having a giveaway! ak
Colored, holiday-shaped sugar cookies, most definitely :D
Hmm... any cookie that contains chocolate and/or mint, or some form of ginger.
My favorite cookie is chocolate chip....but at the Holidays I like the German ones my mom used to buy from the German store. She's born and raised in Bavaria and these remind me of her. (Not sure of the veganess of them though, going to have to find out.)
My favorite holiday cookie is classic chocolate chip, but with a few sprinkles of mint extract added to the dough! Yum :)
Just one?? Gingersnaps, peanut butter cookies, macaroons, oatmeal chocolate chip....now I'm craving. I really need this cookbook.
My grandmother's date cookies. Walnuts, dates, shredded coconut, crispy rice cereal... mmm! During the holidays I always ask for her to make me a tin full of them.
Oh, this thread makes me so excited for the holidays!
Hey, this cookie sounds awesome! Would you consider posting the recipe on vegweb?
I am a purist and could eat vanilla sugar cookies until I was sick.
oh man i dont think I can pick... it's probably ginger snaps (especially dipped in tea or soymik!) but peanut butter, snickerdoodles & oatmeal choc chip ones are also great.
Oooh, I want this. BAD.
While I don't discriminate against any type of cookie, my favorite holiday choice would have to be... Russian Tea Cakes. Sugary, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth goodness.
My favorite holiday cookie goes by a number of names, including Russian tea cakes, Mexican wedding cakes, and butterballs. Mmmm...
chocolate shortbread with banana frosting!
Jessacita stole my answer! Russian Tea Cakes, hands down. Mmmmmm. Also, anything almond flavored. Also, cut-out sugar cookies decorated with frosting and sprinkles. Also, those peanut butter ones with hershey kisses which I haven't had for years but should make a vegan version this year.
