I'm not sure if they have a "proper" name, but our family calls them Almond Pinwheels.  A twist of plain cookie dough with an almond/cinnamon sugar filling. Soooo good!

gingerbread cookies, and sugar cookies -- the thin ones, not the big fat ones!
BTW, the Mexican Wedding Cookies were my mom's favorites, but she just called them snowballs.

My mom's cornflake cookies. They're the best ever, followed closely by Mexican Hot Chocolate Snickerdoodles.
