Weekly Giveaway: Recycled Clutch Purse from Ecoist! tiffyqueen is the winner!
Vegans love fashion. It's true. We don't all subsist on a steady diet of birkenstocks and hoodies made from recycled potato bags. Not that there's anything wrong with that. If you haven't checked out the latest issue of VegNews, you're missing out on a great article about green fashion, it's a must read. Do you know what else is a must read? I have a column in the magazine, AN ADVICE COLUMN! That's right, you can "Ask Laura" any question you want, and I'll give you an answer. It'll probably be a really sassy answer. So go get your subscription today (http://vegnews.com/web/pages/page.do?pageId=4)!
Okay, that was a detour but I'm back on track now and hear to tell you that this week's giveaway combines fashion and recycling into an ultra chic small clutch bag from Ecoist (http://ecoist.com/). It's adorable and you need to own it, end of story.
To win the clutch, let me know what your St. Patrick's Day plans are!
Giveaway ends on Tuesday, March 16th at midnight, PST! Winner will be chosen at random!
I will work most of the day, play with my daughter, and go to church that night. Nothing specilal here.
hopefully, recovering from my awesome birthday celebration the day before, and then of course weekly Buffy and Angel night w/ the girls.
I have a hair appt at 7pm, so that really messes up my party schedule....but my friend is having a post St. Patty's Day party on the 20th, so I'll make up for it then.
Oh, and by the way, I really want this one
I have red hair too! I totally understood your anecdote about getting pinched on St. Paddy's Day, which is why I will probably be in hiding.
hey hanashi, I'll be celebrating my birthday on the 16th too!!! On St. Patrick's Day I'll be making Corned Seitan and Cabbage, Colcannon, Irish Soda Bread, and Irish Potato Candies. Whoever wants to come over and have some can, if not...more for me :)
I have school that day...all day...morning, noon, and night. Lame.
Have fun and be safe everyone!!! <3
After work, I will prepare a vegan Irish supper for my omni family and hope they enjoy it.
oh gosh, I barely know my plans for the next day, nevermind a week from now. I guess I could try to cook some Irish food for dinner. I've never done that before. It'll be a strange switch from Boston, where everyone celebrate's St. Patty's, to Berlin, where I have no idea if anyone celebrates it.
I will be eating vegan pizza celebrating my birthday! And hopefully vegan doughnuts also!
Well, I do work and have bio lab that day. But I have my outfit planned already, and already have my green nails and am STOKED.
I'll drink green tea in honor of St. Patrick's Day. Otherwise, it's just a regular Wednesday!
I'm Irish on my Auntie Mary's side - I'll be toastin' one to her on St Patty's Day!!
I will spend the day teaching St Patricks Day songs to my elementary school students-including HIP HOP SHAMROCK and DANCE AN IRISH JIG.
it's my friend caseys bday that day and she wants someone to go with her to get a shamrock tattoo
I'll be studying for a mental health test, but I still plan on pinching the kiddos I babysit if I don't see any green!
I live in a float home in Victoria BC and we are having an environmental committee meeting for our residents.
I will be bringing "green treats" Both of the healthy and St. patties style.
"Nana's pesto pinwheel rolls" from Sarah Kramers Vegan a Go-Go page #139
Is it any clutch in particular? I love this bag: http://ecoist.com/pc/catalog/GV%20(01)_md.jpg
I don't think we have any plans. I've never really "celebrated" St. Patrick's day (I celebrate my own Patrick!), but one time I listened to an Irish band at an outdoor thing.
Working until God knows when and then hopefully going to the local pub for a Guiness with my bestie . I suppose I should do some laundry ASAP so I have a green shirt. No pinching for me darnit!
the only plans i make is to get out of the hood cause all the kids start drinking beer and eating eggs at like 7 am and they are LOUD
To avoid being pinched by countless elementary-schoolers, I will wear green to work that day. Then I have a rehearsal in the evening. Oh, the exciting life of an elementary school teacher...
No special plans... St. Patty's Day is usually just a normal day for me. Honestly, if it weren't for VegWeb I probably wouldn't have known it was coming up until the day itself! Thanks WML... now maybe I'll remember to wear green so I don't get pinched! :P
