For a chance to win, let us know what question you're looking forward to asking Chef Jesse Miner in our Thanksgiving Hotline Chat on Sunday, November 22nd (http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=30385.0). It can be anything from stuffing tips to how to make the best vegan egg nog. Get creative, this conversation is going to be delicious!
Contest ends on Tuesday, November 24th at midnight, PST! Winner will be chosen at random!
I would ask how to make a yummy thick "egg" nog. The ones I have tried are good but they are missing the thick creaminess. I tried one with tofu but it wasn't that great. I just need the right recipe or trick.
I fifth the seitan question. I love it from the store and at restaurants, but when I make it at home it is gummy and I cry. What is the deal?
I would ask him what his favorite Thanksgiving dessert is. As much as I love pumpkin pie, I am always looking for new and interesting vegan desserts. :)
I have to say I'm going to go along with the making your own seitan question. I've never made it before, and I want it to be a good first-time experiance :p
I used to make the Moosewood Southern Nut Pie Eudora...is there a way to veganize it?
How do I make the perfect pie crust?
What's your favorite thing about thanksgiving?
The food, friends, family ?
i would like to ask what to do with "nibs" I bought a sack full and they are bitter and crunchy not at all smooth. I am still fairly new to all this.
I would like advice pairing vegan wine to my field roast and how the heck do you make a good vegan whip cream??
I missed the chat but I guess I would have asked for advice on a good vegan whipped cream. I have made the coconut oil one and it is good but far from perfect.
I would ask how to make camote(sweet potato) and calabaza(candied pumpkin), two Mexican sweets.
Congrats! I'm glad you've been posting about your foods.
