Weekly Giveaway: Coconut Oil & Raw Cacao Butter! paisleyvegan is the winner!

Earth Day signals a time to get back to basics and celebrate in what's best for our Earth. Lucky for us, some of the best all natural products are super scrumptious. For those of us raised on the Standard American Diet, it's exciting to find out that a kale salad can be just as tasty as a vegan meatball sub. Sometimes the tastiest foods are the best for us. I know, mother nature works in mysteious ways. For the healthiest (and yummiest!) vegan baked goods, I turn to Artisana 100% Organic Raw Cacao Butter (http://www.premierorganics.org/) and Nutiva Raw Coconut Oil (http://www.nutiva.com/products/10_coconut.php) for help. Healthy baking might sound like an oxymoron but this delicious duo will do the job! I promise, I wouldn't lie to you about baked goods. T

To win both, let me know what your Earth Day plans are!

Giveaway ends on Tuesday, April 27th at midnight, PST! Winner will be chosen at random!

Good luck!

For the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, Unitarian Universalists are doing something like Lent (40 days of giving up something or doing something good), but with an environmentalist slant.

I'm going to start a little porch garden going again, buy my produce local as much as possible, and try to completely eliminate my use of new produce bags.

I am heading off to work, but I am going to remind the students I work with that it's Earth Day. Later I will probably go for a walk with my kids and talk about what it means and how we can help the earth.

Spending it in the hospital, unfortunately!
I've had a slew of health problems lately that may confirm that I need to go gluten free =\

I went to our regular library story time with my daughter and it was "earth-day" themed! We've had beautiful weather here all week and today it got cold and rainy so wasn't able to do much outside, unfortunately.

I didn't do anything on Earth Day, however, I baked Snickerdoodles and brownies for an Earth Day bake sale the weekend before. Only vegan thing there, but I represented with a VW recipe! Yeah!

I went for two walks outside, one of which was spent in my community gardens.  I baked cupcakes and shared them with family and friends to celebrate and to show them (for the millionth time) that vegan baking is great!

I planted organic seeds so I will have my own fresh produce! And I biked everywhere and used half the amount of electricity I normally use <3
