Weekly Giveaway: Awesome Bag from Calico Dragon! winner is milliejasmine!

I am not sure how to tie in this giveaway with the newsletter so I'm just going to give up. I know, nobody loves a quitter, but how do I combine avocados with the world's cutest bag!? This week's giveaway is a rad tote from Calico Dragon Bags (http://shop.calicodragonbags.com/A-World-Away-Small-Tote-GOR42.htm).  It's a brilliant red bag, with adorable gorillas on the side. This thing is beyond hip. Hey, you know what. You could totally carry tons of avocados in it. Well, not tons, but like 15? That's a lot of guacamole! I'm patting myself on the back for the bag/avocado combination. I know, so modest.

For a chance to win the bag, and let me know what your favorite avocado dish is!

Giveaway ends on Tuesday, July 6th at midnight, PST! Winner will be chosen at random!

Good luck!

There is nothing better than squirting some lime and sprinkling some salt on a fresh avocado and eating it right out of the skin...heaven ^^

I think a lot of people know what my fave avocado dish is, but it's:

avo with salt and pepper, sriracha, vegenaise, bread, spoon

Living in Tucson, Arizona, with its wonderful multicultural population, avocados are found on the table in many forms.  Certainly as guacamole, but also in tacos and just about any hispanic food.  I also love them in my morning green smoothy.  They add a wonderful texture to my morning drinks that I can't make through a day without.  A couple of years ago I found a variety of avocado tree at the nursery that can survive mild frosts, so I bought it.  It has made it throuh three winters now and although it hasn't fruited yet, I'm excited to think about picking my own homegrown avocados one of these years soon.

I just love avocados in a sandwich. Just 1/2 avocado, some sea salt, and two slices of toasted bread. I eat it for lunch every single day. :)

I rarely get to enjoy avocados because they're so expensive! But right now they are only 49 cents each at my local grocery, so I loaded up and I've been enjoying fresh guacamole and chips for lunch every day!! It's been great. I love guacamole.

Best way?  Hard to say-my son's guacamole, sliced in a salad, on top of a veg burger, with some salt and a squirt of lime juice scooped out of the rind into my mouth?  They're all so good!

I don't think there is a bad way to eat an avocado. They are good in so many ways. I eat them on salads, in sandwiches, salads, as guacamole, this list could go on and on! :)

I am always torn between using them in guacamole or in grilled avocado sandwiches (they get all melt-y like a grilled cheese).  I also adore their color (so pretty!).

Dish??? Avocados are meant to be eaten with a twist of lime, salt and a spoon. Or in sushi.
