Weekly Giveaway: Appetite for Reduction! winner is mamarati!

Well, she's at it again. Vegan goddess, Isa Chandra Moskowitz, has written a book that makes healthy eating sexy and delicious. I'm impressed. I mean, we all knew she could do it for cupcakes and cookies, but Brussel sprouts? She's gone above and beyond. Appetite for Reduction (http://www.theppk.com/books/appetite-for-reduction/) is the perfect cookbook. It makes healthy food delicious and brings perspective to the phrase, "diet food". No more chemicals and fake foods, these are whole foods that make you feel a whole lot better. I'm also excited to see a book about nutritious eating that isn't just about weight loss, but rather about becoming a healthier you. Pretty freaking cool.

For your chance to win a copy, let me know what your favorite winter veggies dish is.

Giveaway ends on Tuesday, January 18th at midnight, PST! Winner will be chosen at random! Must live in USA to win.

Good luck!

I love any kind of soup, but I especially love Sonya's French Lentil Soup on this site. The combination of flavors (especially the red wine) make it one of the most savory and comforting meals I've ever made.

My favorite is roasted veggies (brussel sprouts, green beans, butternut squash, garlic drizzeled with olive oil), brown rice and a crisp green salad.

Funny you mentioned Brussels sprouts.  I just made them the other night.  So today I will say a Brussels sprouts saute with red onions, garlic, crimini mushrooms, and walnuts.  Seasoned with rosemary and freshly ground salt and pepper.

YUMMMMMMMM

Pick me!!! Pick me!!!

I love roasted brussel sprouts that are tossed in olive oil and lightly salt & peppered, then baked at 425 for about 25 minutes. They come out looking burned, but they're incredibly sweet and yummy.
