:) my favorite dish has to be stuffing or "dressing" as we call it here in the south. One of my other favorites would have to be homemade rolls. My grandmother was able to make a batch without using a measuring cup....I miss her... :'(
Stuffing rules! It's my favorite dish at Thanksgiving.
casserole of sweet potatos with dried sweetened cranberries, i mash and mince up 2 cloves of garlic and about 1 tbsp of thyme mix with about 1 or 2 tsp kosher salt, running my knife thru all to make sure that all are mixed wel after layering peeled and sliced sweet potatos and cranberrys in a caserole dish lightly sprayed with no stick spray i sprinkle on the garlic / thyme salt and slide into a 350 oven till done about 40 minutes ( till fork tender ) i have also added peeled and sliced white potatos alternating with sweet potatos and that is pretty yummy too l

Being in NZ we don't have thanksgiving... But, my fave thanksgiving inspired food would be pumpkin pie. :)>>>

Pumpkin cupcakes are my favorite.
Mashed potatoes are my favorite, closely followed by roasted squash.
Turnip (rutabagas) mashed...only time I get them that the family doesn't protest!

It's a toss up between the mashed potatoes and the stuffing. (My favorite is actually a bite of both at the same time!)
my favorite this year was our stuffing! my husband and i made it from scratch for the first time this year and it was amazing!!!mushrooms,sage,celery,onion,faux sausage,apples,veggie broth,earth balance,and dried bread chunks from whole foods. vegan and amazing!
