Superstar VegWebber of the Week: sharway!

sharway (http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=34205.0) is our Superstar VegWebber of the week! In addition to being a busy musician, she still has time to blog at the super popular Washington, DC vegan website, DC Vegan (http://www.dcvegan.com/), AND keep us entertained on VegWeb. Pretty freakin' impressive. And she's right, Prince is the perfect music to do just about everything to! Except maybe meditation? Maybe? Please take the time to read all about the fabulous sharway and then let her know how hard she rocks! Seriously, the more I get to know VegWebbers, the more awesome they become. I am so proud to be part of this amazing community!

VegWebber since?
Oh ages! Since the 90s before it was even vegweb

Vegetarian, Vegan or ?
Vegan and Proud!

Where do you call home?
Washington DC for a few months more, then...

What do you do when you're not on VegWeb?
I'm a musician.

Do you have blog or website?
Yes! I blog for dcvegan.com if you want to read my ramblings;
and my band's page is myspace.com/fallcatalogue if you want to hear me warbling.

Do you tweet?
Yes, about veganism, music, but mostly random and ridiculous things! @Sssonya

One unique thing should know about you?
I have perfect pitch. It's the only thing even remotely perfect about me.

What’s the best thing about being vegan? (if you are!)
Knowing I am reducing suffering, good health, great energy-- the list goes on but I actually think it's my super awesome vegan tattoo.

Favorite romantic recipe on VegWeb?
I think I'm meant to say Chocolate Raspberry Mocha Cake (http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=6348.0) or Chocolate Tofu Mousse, but I'm not usually big on sweets. I'll say the Grilled Avocado sandwich (http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=20790.0) because it's the perfect snack to share if you sneak into the kitchen after midnight!

Favorite recipe on VegWeb to make for non-vegans to show them how amazing vegan food can be?
I've always had good luck with omnis and Black Bean Pancakes:
http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=4800.0

One thing you wish you could make vegan but haven’t succeeded at yet?
Matzo ball soup (I know a recipe exists somewhere, but I haven't made it yet!)

#1 Cooking secret/tip?
Sauteed onions and garlic. Everything starts with sauteed onions and garlic. It's not a secret though, because my house always smells like sauteed onions and garlic.

Best music to cook by?
Prince. That's the best music to do EVERYTHING by.

Three people you'd most like to have dinner with?
Michael Franti and my two sisters

All time favorite restaurant?
Most I actually prefer to cook at home, but I love Great Sage in Clarksville, MD for a special treat: www.greatsage.com

French fries or ice cream?
Ice cream! My ice cream maker has gotten QUITE a workout this summer.

Soy milk, rice milk, almond milk?
Meh, I don't take milk in my coffee and I don't eat cereal, so I'm not much for milk. If you twisted my arm, I'd say almond milk because that's what my partner likes.

Tofu, tempeh, or seitan?
tempeh

congrats!  Sharway is definitely a superstar vegan
