Superstar VegWebber of the Week: icephrosty!

Our Superstar VegWebber of the week is icephrosty (http://vegweb.com/index.php?action=profile;u=85039)! Not only is she from St Louis, where two of my favorite VegNews staff members hail from, she also has the BEST recipe for King Cake (http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=26834) that I've ever made. I had this at a Marti Gras party this year, and it was off the hook! The cake and the party! In fact, I might have to make it again today for my boyfriend's birthday... it's pretty much my new go-to cake recipe! Thanks, icephrosty!! Now, check out her answers below and let her know how rad and amazing she is. Then, make this cake: http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=26834!

One unique thing should know about you?  I used to be anti-vegetarian and was an animal agriculture major in college.  Scary!!  Oh, how things have changed.  Smiley

What’s the best thing about being vegan? (if you are!)  Researching restaurants eveywhere I go and constantly trying new places

Favorite romantic recipe on VegWeb?  banana black beans (http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=18538.0) over coconut rice!  yum, my husband loves it

Favorite recipe on VegWeb to make for non-vegans to show them how amazing vegan food can be?  Best vegan mac and cheese in the entire world, seriously  http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=8295.0

Favorite recipe for 4th of July?  Peanut butter cup bars (http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=30200.0) because they're easy to make and everyone loves them!  Plus, PB is am American staple.

One thing you wish you could make vegan but haven’t succeeded at yet?  Angel food cake...still really miss that one!

#1 Cooking secret/tip?  Don't be afraid to put your own twist on things.  I never follow any recipe exactly, even when baking!  You might have a few duds, but taking risks is fun and sometimes you amaze yourself with the results.

Best music to cook by?  classic rock!

Three people you'd most like to have dinner with?  Alicia Silverstone, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers (looooove him), and Gwen Stefani
