Please join me in congratulating DalVeg (http://vegweb.com/index.php?action=profile;u=105281)...this lovely lady was nominated several times and I think you'll see why when you read her answers to the questionnaire...she is totally wonderful! If you have any nominees for Superstar Vegwebber of your own, send them my way, laura at vegweb dot com! Now, please enjoy DalVeg's awesome answers!!

VegWebber since? I started reading VegWeb in January 2009, but I didn't get the courage to start an account until April 2009.

Vegetarian, Vegan or ??  Vegetarian since Summer 2003; vegan since August 2008 (best decision EVER!).

Where do you call home? I'm Canadian Smiley

What do you do when you're not on VegWeb?  Cook, of course.  I also live an active, eco-friendly life and am an avid tea drinker.

Do you have blog or website?  No.  I am not very Internet savy.

Do you tweet?  Don't tweet, don't facebook.

One unique thing should know about you?  Even though I am vegan, my favorite smell in the world is BBQ'd meat.  Weird, I know.

What’s the best thing about being vegan? (if you are!)  There are too many wonderful things!  Being able to contribute to VegWeb is awesome... but, I'd have to say that knowing that my diet consists of as many clean, healthy, cruelty-free, health-promoting, and non-health depleting foods, is a WONDERFUL feeling.  Veganism is also a great icebreaker/conversation starter.

Favorite romantic recipe on VegWeb?  Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie: it's sweet, smooth, and a perfect dish to serve those you love. (http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=6772.0).

Favorite recipe on VegWeb to make for non-vegans to show them how amazing vegan food can be? Baked Chimichangas (http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=22344.0).

Favorite Thanksgiving VegWeb recipe? The Canadian Thanksgiving is in October, so I already had my holiday meal.  Nonetheless, my Thanksgiving meal favorite is stuffing: http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=7425.0

One thing you wish you could make vegan but haven’t succeeded at yet?  CHEESE. Oh how I wish!

#1 Cooking secret/tip?  Too many recipes call for Extra Virgin Olive Oil when it requires heating.  I cringe whenever I read this because heat destroys so many of EVOO's beneficial properties.  My advice is to use a small amount of heat-resistant oil when cooking and then add EVOO (to make-up the remaining required oil) when the meal is cooked and about to be served.  I find that when cooking,a little oil goes a long way.

Best music to cook by?  I usually listen to whatever is on the radio, but during this time of the year, holiday music fills my kitchen.

Three people you'd most like to have dinner with?  Right now the only person I can think of is Ellen Degeneres (she's so funny AND vegan).

All time favorite restaurant?  I have a soft spot for all vegan/vegetarian restaurants: it just feels so good to be able to choose ANYTHING on the menu.

French fries or ice cream?  Ice cream.  (When choosing between foods, I always choose the sweet option over the salty!).

Soy milk, rice milk, almond milk?  Non-GMO vanilla soy milk.

Tempeh, tofu or seitan?  I've never had seitan, but I think I'd still choose tofu as my number one because it comes in some many textures.
