What do you do when you're not on VegWeb? I am a full time grad student, an animal/human rights activist, and an outdoorsy girl (give me a mountain to climb or a river to kayak!)

One unique thing should know about you? When I was little I bite my tongue off and had to have it re-attached...

What’s the best thing about being vegan? (if you are!) Knowing that my lifestyle is a conscious decision against cruelty, greed, and corporate irresponsibility. That is pretty damn awesome.

Favorite romantic recipe on VegWeb? Coconut Banana French Toast! Serve it with tofu scramble and kisses http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=12270.0 but really, any recipe you make for someone the next morning is sexy-delicious, even if it is a bowl of raisin bran!!

Favorite recipe on VegWeb to make for non-vegans to show them how amazing vegan food can be? Black Bean Sweet Potato Chili http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=10272.0 so crazy good! This is a very flexible chili you can dink around with--eat it by its self--but I think over rice and in tortillas is the best! Non-veg people will drool over it!

Favorite recipe for St. Patrick's Day? Tempha Reuben with lots of sauerkraut, veg-thousands island dressing and hey, throw on some veg-cheese too! Don't forget your fried potatoes and a good brew to round it out! Yum!!

One thing you wish you could make vegan but haven’t succeeded at yet? I have been fortunate not to hit this wall yet! With the help of the VegWeb community I have been able to find vegan versions of everything I have ever wanted to make--vegans are super hero's like that!

#1 Cooking secret/tip? Don't be rigid to a recipe--have fun and experiment--sure, you'll mess up a few cakes or batches of cookies and your seitan might taste funny the first couple tries--but go with it! Love what you create!!

Best music to cook by? Bob Marley. Let that Rastafarian love just seep into you!

Three people you'd most like to have dinner with? My raw sister and vegweb hero Storm, the man I will spend the rest of my life with (where are you??), and the Baroque artist Caravaggio (nobody said I had to be realistic right??)

All time favorite restaurant? Wayward Cafe in Seattle--best vegan pancakes ever! (okay...and then go across the street to Pizza Pi and have the best vegan pizza of your life!!)

French fries or ice cream? Both please!

Soy milk, rice milk, almond milk? Almond mylk

Tofu, tempeh, or seitan? Rosewood Tofu made right here in Ann Arbor-Ypsi! Nom! Always support local food sources!!
