How did you meet your partner?

I could have SWORN this was an old thread, but I couldn't find one so I'm making it.
I saw some people talking about how they met their partners in a thread and I thought it needs to be a thread, cause I love hearing those stories.
Me (which most people probably know) - Vegweb... ;D Still makes me laugh. Long story short.. friends on vegweb, really randomly and crazily decided to move in together, and developed affections for each other after we met IRL. So weird, but great!
I met my boyfriend on here.
I just wanted to say that. Vegweb wins at everything.
Yes! How many couples has VW made now..? 1 2 3 that I can think of.
i think more, but of recent (current) forum users, yes.

still waiting on my vegweb boy :/
AWW. I dont have any awesome stories but i like this thread.
I met my husband in a bar when we were both going through divorces. :P
But the resulting marriage = :)
Awwww loving the stories!!!!
We haven't been together all that long yet, but things are faaaaantastic, so I'm just gonna throw my story in with all your LTRs :)
I was pretty traumatised after a long relationship that died a slow and incredibly painful death. I didn't want anything to do with guys for a about 1,5 years after. One night last October, I actually fled a club because a guy I could potentially be into showed an interest, I was that scared of getting hurt again - but that incident made me resolve to try and get over it, because I really didn't want to end up celibate ;D
So, the next time I went out I was on a mission to kiss someone, just to get back into things. There was a guy there, a friend of friends, who I'd seen a few times and who I fancied: I went over to chat with him, we danced a bit, and then he grabbed me by the hand and dragged me outside ::) We spent the night kissing and dancing and exchanged phone numbers.
In the text conversation that followed I found out he was going to go traveling for an indefinite period a month from then, which I thought was perfect: no possibility of anything serious and therefor no chance of getting hurt, woo! We had a really, really great month, and by the end of it I was falling for him a little.
He went off on his trip, we both started seeing other people - he on his travels and me here in the Netherlands - I had fun with the new guy, but knew fairly early on it wasn't going anywhere. At the time though, I didn't realise his relationship wasn't working out either, so I relatively successfully tried to keep him out of my mind. A couple of months later he appeared on chat, told me things weren't really going anywhere with this girl (as part of a far longer how-have-you-been conversation), and two weeks later suddenly called to say he was back in the country.
We met up a couple of days later, and in a way it was as though he'd never left, we just click *SO* well :) At the same time it was completely different though: before, it had clearly been a no-strings-fling since he was leaving, this time it was clear within hours that we both wanted to give it a serious go - and so far (about 4 months + the 1 month last year), so fucking awesome :D

just a lil?
We had health & social science together.
Was that juicy enough for you? XP
no! how old? how long have you been together? come on little one <3
9th grade, I was 14, he was 15. We've been together 9 years as of May 23.
Oddly, my sister also got with her first boyfriend on that same day, same year. We didn't know that until later.
9 years?! holy smokes... how long have you lived together? he's pretty much veg too from what i gather right?
we've lived together for about 2 years.
he's mostly veg by default, 'cause i cook and stuff. outside the house he sometimes eats vegan, sometimes not.
hmmmmmm so is he the "one" or has it turned into the bff's stage?
both
oh ya i suppose that is typical... duh
have u ever broken up for a period?
what one thing about him drives you crazy? what's your fave thing about him?
do you plan on getting married and having human children?
if you want to spill...
human children? we only plan of having robots, obviously.
sometimes his grammar is terrible, and i always correct him, which is probably what drives him crazy. Fav thing - he always knows how to make me smile or laugh, generally by being incredibly silly. Which works, because he's usually a very serious person.
no break ups. we had a bit of a rough patch a few years ago, but it never came down to that.
We always thought it would be good to get married on our 10th anniversary, but now that's May 23 of just next year, it's not likely to happen. Neither of our parents would be able to contribute, and neither of us has anything to spare, so we're waiting until we can pay for the ceremony we want (nothing fairytale, just something with food, at a place, with a moonbounce. that's right, i want a moonbounce).
No plans for children. Even if we wanted to, it'd be kind of far away (at least 5 years), so it's not really something on our minds. I've never wanted to have kids, and I figured that might change over time, but so far no change. Eh. He's always been a little too against having children, which makes me think he'll change his mind in the future. At which point I'll tell him to go adopt another kitten.
This ended up being longer than a "how did you meet" story. Well-played, amy, well-played.
