Any Other Single Vegans Here?

I'll tell ya....

Life can be hard, when you're a vegan, and single....

Personally, I could share my life with someone who ate animal products. And there's so few of us out there. I can count on one hand the women I've dated in the last 10-15 years....

Any other single vegans out there? Share your stories!!!

I thought I'd just update this really quickly. I may have found somebody. I "dated" him before for about 3 years ago but it didn't feel right and now all of a sudden I want him around more and more and I don't know, he just makes me happy and feel good. Hopefully I won't be single any longer here in a few months:D

im 20 and have never been on a date or made out with anyone and have only had one boyfriend. who was a total d-bag

I've had 3 boyfriends from the age of 12 until now and 2 girlfriends. But, hm, I guess I like to be swooned and apparently there's no men willing to do that now-a-days. How come you haven't been on a date?! You're hot! See, men are idiots.

haha because all the ones i know are stupid. and i have SUPER hot friends, so i'm never the one to get hit on. haha whatevs.

and shell, lmfao! thats awesome

VH, that was ALWAYS my problem! In college guys would come up to me and start talking to me and I would think they were into me, until the infamous question was asked..."so who is your friend?"  UGH!!!
those guys are dumb because they are just going for looks anyway.
you will find someone who likes you for you, even if you are not the hottest of your friends.
just wait! it will happen!!!
but again, stay single!!!!

lmfao! yup. boys be dumb as fuck! haha and yeah single life all the wayyyy!

You are the 2nd person to tell me this! Maybe I am settling. It just gets lonely, especially after 6 years.

That's probably what I need to start doing. One of my friends told me that I should stop looking for someone and just let that someone come to me and I've decided to do that. I hope it all works out for you too:)

You never know VH! I mean, Preston seems pretty gay. But he wants my ladybits real bad.

I just want a man who is open minded in eating my "wierd" food. the veg lifestyle is a personal choice and I'm not going to hold it against a man who eats meat.  I simply prefer my meat alive.  ;)

Vegan and single <-- that felt like a confession when I wrote it. I have just lived alone for almost 2 years now and I fear I am pretty set in my ways. Not sure I could tolerate an intruder ;) But I also think my "list of demands" is too strict to yeild hope. For example: Could not date a flesh eater, I don't think - I mean I would always be tninking "are there hunks of meat stuck between her teeth?!" Lacto-ovo would be tolerable, so long as she is willing to consider change, cause I still crave cheese sometimes, so I would not appreciate the temptation and the accessibility; so not a "demand" but a pretty solid preference. Also no smoking, drinking, or drugs, not even on weekends or concerts ;) I just don't see it as fun anymore. Could *possibly* bend rule for very moderate alcohol (like with a meal) so long as zero tolerance for me was understood and respected and I did not have to smell it. Don't even get me started on religious belief exclusions..... So, as one may see, the odds are stacked against me and my speculative soul mate.

You need a straight edger, Charlie.  Are they in greater concentration among the committed athletic types (e.g., daily surfers who mountain bike on the weekends)?

I have heard that about straight edger. I guess the image others may have is "boring." I don't think that about myself, at all. Just that outsiders looking in may see it that way.

I am not sure about surfing. In tennessee we do "tubing." But usually those are excursions designed around booze.

I am not too worried, because I know that on the remote possibility that there is a relationship in my future after a few weeks I will most probably be thinking, "My God, how long is this thing going to keep dragging on...." ;)

Its been seven years for me friend.. I still owe you a message reply, going to tackle that today.:)
Hang in there get comfortable. Be a rogue amoeba, a pulsar. Be whom you want to be, keep on shinning, someone will recognize this. TN has some of the best caves in the states..

Well, this turned into a very interesting thread as I went though ha!  I am single as well and as for if I'd date an omni or not, I probably would.  However, I would prefer that they be supportive of my shift from omni- to herbavore.  I feel like if you don't have that support and trust over food, ethics, lifestyle, etc. how can it work in the long run.  I have many people in my life who like to poke fun at vegans/vegitarians (my brother in law likes to tell me how her turned a vegan friend back into an omnivore over deer meat -_- yea okay).  So it will be very important for me to have that support in a partner when he comes along :)
