Whats your favorite store bought cereal?

When I went on my crash diet at first all I ate was cereal.... Then I realized the calories to amount of food ratio was actually pretty crappy.  I then stopped eating it for a while but now I have it on occasion.
So my question is what are your favorite store bought cereals?  Mine are:
Kashi Go Lean High Protein & High Fiber Cereal (I just found this a few weeks ago and love it!)
Shreaded Wheat (I prefer the plain but I still like the frosted)
Raisin Bran (tons of sugar but its a delicious classic)

Nature's  Path "Organic Flax Plus"

It's the best cereal I've ever had. Incredibly tasty (I never thought I'd say that about a cereal, but it is) and very healthy eating.  I like it with bananas, or blueberries or dried cranberries and Silk (unsweetened).  In fact, it's 7 AM, breakfast time and I think I'll have some right now.!

quaker oat squares... life... natures path organic optimum slim.. kashi cinnamon harvest.

that last one is so amazingly good - & ive never been a fan of shredded wheat by any means before i tried it.

wayne- just wanted to let you know that the frosting used in the frosted shredded wheat contains animal based gelatin.  you should try the cinnamon harvest stuff i mentioned if you're looking for a shredded wheat with a bit of sweetness & added flavor.  it's awesome.

I LOVE Kashi Autumn Harvest--better than the Cinnamon Harvest, in my opinion. You might even love it more than Shredded Wheat, as I do!

I am loving the Natures Path  Apple Acai cereal. So delicious. I enjoy a bowl with vanilla hemp milk.

PPC thanks for the heads up.  I'll try to avoid the frosted shredded wheat from now on, which shouldn't be a problem b/c like I said I prefer the plain.  Also I have the Kashi Vanilla Island shredded wheat type deal and that is really good too.

Honestly my fav is Cinnamon Toast Crunch, but I almost never buy that anymore.  Generally I buy Cheerios or a President's Choice cereal called On Track...both nice and healthy, pretty good, but I miss that sugary goodness sometimes!

check out the generics! i've found some cinnamon toast crunch that was vegan.

ETA: i just checked the ingredients on the real cinnamon toast crunch (you know, the general mills kind) and there's no milk! the vitamins might be sketchy though, but i'm not sure which are bad.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch is soooo good. It's sweet and light and crunchy and leaves you with a cinnamon-sweet milk in your cereal bowl to drink up.

I hope that ponycakes is right about the ingredients so all you vegans can enjoy the wonders of Cinnamon Toast Crunch!

this list shows cinnamon toast crunch contains nonfat milk:

but i think this would be a suitable replacement...

is that list up to date? there's a box in the pantry here (belongs to sean's roommate i believe) and i checked and there were no milk ingredients. i do remember that it used to have milk in it though.

My husband is a cereal fiend, and has bought cinnamon toast crunch before. He would have noticed the milk, I'm sure.

yeah it looks like thats an older ingredients list.. i just checked the general mills site & it's milk-free.. unfortunately it still does have Vitamin D3, which is from wool.

lame.
:(

eta- i have no problem drowning my sorrows in a cinnamon toast crunch cocktail.. im glad this thread led me to find that recipe, so not all is lost!

OMG from wool? that's creepy and weird. what does vitamin D3 do for you anyway?

About the Frosted Mini Wheats, Whole Foods has a brand that is gelatin and D3 free and pretty much tastes like the original ones!  :)>>>

whoa, I'll have to check out the WF frosted wheats. I usually get the kashi shredded wheat. that's yummmmmmy.
I was at WF and they had these "natural" or whatever versions of cinnamon toast crunch and lucky charms, but they were just like the regular ones and not at all vegan. blargh.
um, I like reese's puffs. there's my guilty cereal pleasure, though i haven't had them in a while.  I recently discovered these chocolate hazelnut filled squares at trader joe's and they're amaaazing. I just eat them as a snack/dessert though rather than a cereal. I love barbara's oat squares for breakfast!
