Tings?

I always hear vegans raving about Tings, the vegan cheetos.  What do you all think of them?  I've never had them, but I'm curious.  Cheesy snacks were never my favorite snack, but I might have to try them solely because they are vegan.

P.S.  I did a search, and we have NEVER talked about Tings on vegweb.  Ever.  What kind of veg*ns are we, people?  For shame.

OMG they are sooosooo good! They dont taste cheesy to me tho, they are much lighter...even when i was eating cheese, i couldnt handle cheesy puffs b/c they were soooo strongly cheesy.

Every once in awhile you will get a not so great batch tho, sometimes not enough NY on them, so they taste like styrofoam. I have complained once to the company about it, and they sent me a huge box of 12 to my door!!! swwweeet ...free tings!  ;)b

I thought it was a typo for things....then I realized that would not be possible b/c it was a KMK thread.  ^-^

Well, I learned of them from the forum whose name I dare not speak for fear of reprimand from a certain bay-canine.  ;)

I love Veggie Booty!  I'll have to keep my eyes open for Tings.

That's sweet that you got some free ones!

Hehe!  Well, I don't have any dogs, so I wouldn't mind attracting a cute little puppy with some Tings.  Just to play with for a lil while.  :iloveyou:

LOVE the tings!

The whole family loves em and we eat about 1-2 bags per week between 3 of us. I packed them for a snack for noah and i think he likes the fact that they looked similar to other people's snack.....cheetos, or whatever! He doesn't always want to be the "different"one!

Tings are yummy, not overly cheezy.  I have a bag in my desk at work right now.

Some of the larger, more well stocked, Stop & Shop stores in CT have them KMK!!!

I am actually glad they don't sell tings in my town. Unfortunately, my daughter requests frequent visits to Durango (1 hour west of here) just to get them! She's hooked. I'm just glad there is someone to offset the temptation of eating the whole bag!! Them tings is addictive. >:D

OK, so you all DO like them!  Everyone says they're addictive.  Now I really gotta try em.

I was happy to see that my hfs does not carry these.  I just don't need to get addicted to anymore food.

I love Tings!!! Now they have baked Tings which are really good and less fat(a little less), they also have Simply Booty which is Pirates Booty minus the nasty cheese. They even have a really nice message on the back about living a vegan lifestyle. AWESOME!!! I found them at my Whole Foods. Gotta love vegan snacks!!! :)>>>

I found veggie booty today...on sale!!! We don't remember ever seeing it before..but we might have just missed it (maybe didn't give it a second look b/c of the regular price). It was on sale for like $1.69. They didn't have the tings there..but I didn't look in the regular aisle (the booties (?) were on the endcap). They are so good! We ate the whole bag on the way home....which is only like 3 miles. I didn't think they were very veggie-y tasting..but some bites had a kale taste. They are very good though, and I can understand addicting...since they just melt away in your mouth. Mmm!

Is the pirate booty vegan? I didn't look...just grabbed the veggie one!

the pirates booty isnt vegan, its all cheese. They do have a ton of other flavors that have come out now...
I used to like, but not love,  fruity booty (i dunno if they still makeit)
and there was a sunflower booty one, which was just disgusting!

Tings and veggie booty are my faves.

Check their website tho..  www.robscape.com

Yeah, I saw "fruity booty" on the bag..and thought that would be interesting.

I have a bit of a side note here....(excuse me)

When I first looked at your first sentence, LA, I saw: "Aint that veggie booty nasty!!  :P" I thought...why would she say that, and put that smilie...so then I tried to explain to P how that happens to me sometimes (maybe a lot?). You know (I know it happens with some of you, too)..I'll look at something once, and see something TOTALLY different, and then look again..and realize what is really being said. This makes me think that there are many other times when I don't even realize that I read it wrong....
Anyway, he didn't know what I was talking about and said, "could you repeat all of that again...," and then 'd hard-core when I read the sentence, "ain't that veggie booty tasty." We didn't get past that...

You know what I mean though?!? It's really weird..like I'll SEE the other word..
