Puffins

I got some Cinnamon Puffins, and I read, reread, and reread the ingredient label...I just want to make sure they are vegan...I think they are, since a ton of people talk about how good they are on here. Are all the puffins vegan, except for the honey rice, of course? There's peanut butter, cinnamon and regular, so those 3 are vegan, right?

Hee hee hee..... I thought you were doing a thread on the bird.  What the heck is a puffin?

These are the only ones I know of:  http://www.audubon.org/bird/puffin/puffins.html

Puffins is cereal (and a bird of course!  :) )  It is very good cereal might I add. I am partial to the peanut butter!  Yummy!

I never had them, I always thought they looked like a kiddie cereal. Are they really that good?

Ha! That's funny, I totally thought this was going to be a rant about how Icelanders still eat puffins (the birds). Weird.

Anyway, sorry, I've never had what you're talking about, I don't really have anything helpful to say. Gah!! So sorry.

yep. very good. i like them b/c they have low sugar content but are still sweet if you want something sweet.
ummm... the cinnamon is the best in my opinion. the pb is a little gross unless you put bananas with it.
they are kinda expensive, though  :-\

Yay!! I am happy, because the cinnamon ones remind me of....god, those cereals I used to eat when I was a little kid, you know, the really sugary bad ones...but these have sort of the same taste, but are much better for you. They are expensive though. The only store I can get them at around here sells them for nearly $5 a box...but they're worth it.

I think the peanut butter ones taste like a healthy version of Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch.  And my husband actually likes them, which is amazing!  Yay for Puffins cereal!

I like the plain Puffins the best because you can top them with whatever you want!

Also, the other Barbara's cereals are pretty good. I like the original Organic Wheat Puffs. They taste like the Golden Crisp cereal I had as a kid, but less sugary and more delicious!

Here's a link to their products: http://www.worldpantry.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ExecMacro/barbarasbakery/allproducts.d2w/report

I LOVE Barbara's cereals!  I used to buy the Vanilla Shredded Oats, but my hfs doesn't carry it anymore.  Anyone know if this flavor has been discontinued?

Was it the Vanilla Almond flavor? From their website, it looks like they still make it:

I just bought some yesterday on sale for $2.99 at the supermarket.  I think that's the regular price at my HFS.  I like the cinnamon ones; never tried the PB flavor.  Puffins also have a decent amount of fiber (6g).

Yes.  Those are the ones.  I guess my store just stopped carrying them. :(  I should ask the manager.
