tummy aches caused by nutritional yeast

Why would nutritional yeast cause gastrointestinal problems always when sprinkled in homemade tofu scramble, but not in other situations?
The tofu isn't the cause, since the same tofu never has that effect in other things.
Is the tofu scramble the only recipe you spinkle it on? I'm just taking a wild guess here, but could it be because the yeast is in its "raw" form when sprinkled on food rather then cooked or blended in with other ingredients? Kind of like how raw onions make my stomach upset but when cooked there is no problem.
Make sure you get a nutritional yeast that's not made on machinery that uses egg or milk. See if there's any difference.
If it isn't that I'd check the date on the tofu.
