I have a cold now arg...idk if there has been a thread about this yet but how can I fight this faster without taking unnatural medicines. I've heard about vitamin C but is there anything else  :-\

Blech. Colds suck. My personal sick thing is to cook up a big mess of kale with TONS of garlic, cayenne, ginger, and an onion. These are supposed to support your immune system and give you a huge dose of vitamins. I also avoid caffeine. People who eat dairy, I've heard, should avoid it because it contributes to the production of mucus, which is the last thing you want with a cold! Feel better soon!

i usually down a TON of emergen-c and drink a TON of water. water is really good esp if your thoat is starting to hurt.

make sure you rest also and eat good foods!

I usually drink alot of tea with lemon.  I try to consume more fluids like soups with leafy greens and veggies or porridges, etc.

Something I've noticed since becoming vegan is my colds don't last as long. Maybe a day or 2 instead of a week or more.

apparently vit c doesnt work once you have the cold, just in the prevention... but im sure it wouldnt hurt.
also try a nasal lavage/ neti pot.
lots o water!

Echinacea tablets or drops - boost the immune system adn get rid of the cold quicker

Just getting over a cold myself so I'm with ya girl, drink lots of water and add extra flavours to soups such as onions, beans, chilli flakes, black pepper etc,. I always flick drops of lavender and/or eucalyptus on my pillow when in bed with a cold too, hope you start feeling better soon
