Red Rice Yeast makes me feel strange...how about you?

Hello,
I started taking red rice yeast to help with my elevated cholesterol and it really make me feel strange right from the first dose.  I was taking 600mg in the morning and another 600mg at night...I know that some supplements (i.e. Niacin) take some getting used to, could this be the case?  Any info would be great!

Dunno about red rice yeast but I have taken glucomannanon for cholesterol (750 mg 3x a day) and it worked a treat. It also makes you feel less hungry, if that's an issue at all.

Could you elaborate on "strange"?  I've been taking red rice yeast for years, but it doesn't make me feel any particular way.
