Incredibly itchy....Help! NVR

OK.I have huge welts from the deer flies.  I have an upper body rash.  Have taken antihistamines but they are not helping.
I have deer fly bites and welts on my feet, legs, butt, groin, and arms.  My rash is on my upper torso, arms, neck and face.
What should I be doing or taking?  If I am not better by Monday, I will call my doctor because at this point, heroin or morphine sound good!  JOKING!!!! Seriously, I need some relief or I will be scratching body parts off of me.
HELP!!!!!!!

Try making about a quart or two of strong linden (limeblossom or tila) tea and adding it to a cool bath. By strong I mean like 3-4 heaping soupspoonfuls or abut 12 bags. Let it sit for about 10 min. Soak in it, or sponge the affected parts, or--as I've done with fierce prickly heat--wring out a t-shirt in it and wear until it dries.
I'm not sure it's a cure but it may help. (((Di)))
I'm so sorry your vacation went belly-up on ya.

Two suggestions for relieving children itching from chicken pox--don't think it would rid you of your rash but you might stop scratching long enough for the rash to go away:
Whiz up some oatmeal in your blender or food processor and add it to your bath water.
Add 1/2-1 cup of baking soda to your bath.
Use cool or lukewarm water but don't get chilled.

My grandparents have alot of poison oak around their house and we always used Fels Naptha soap to get rid of the itch.
I dunno if it's vegan or not sorry. :(

i just bought a bottle of tea tree oil gel for my incredibly itchy, burning infection, it worked pretty well untill it started, uh,  causing problems, it was a rather intimate infection.  BUT before it got into the wrong places, it worked really well and i think would be suitable for areas not near your eyes, mouth, nose... you know.

you could also buy a potted aloe plant! those are always great to have around for situations like this.

i glob toothpaste on itchy insect bites and it works.  (I also use a bakingsoda and tea tree oil toothpaste.....so maybe thats why it works.  or maybe it's a placebo effect?)

I SO sympathize with you!  Last summer I went backpacking in Vermont with no insect repellent.  I looked like a leper.  The itching was unbearable.  I found this spray at the local outfitter.  It works pretty well.  Pretty sure all the ingredients are vegan, and they don't test on animals.

This is not a link to the manufacturer, but I think it gives all the info you need... and depending on where you live, you can probably find it at your local outfitter so you won't have to order it and wait.

i had a similar situation and i found immediate relief after soaking in a bath w/ this aveeno oatmeal mixture (can't remember the exact name).  you can buy it at the store and all you do is dump the packet into the bath and soak in there for awhile.  but i think bookmamma's suggestion is similar.  so hope that helps.

I feel for ya, my feet were so itchy from the bug bites last week i was ready to scratch em off.

I used caladryl (has benedryl AND calamine in it vs reg. calamine lotion) and practically had to put sock on my hands.  I alternated with hydrocortisone cream.

I hope u get some relief soon.
